Lately I havent been able to do my leg curls without a pain in the tendon that runs along the hamstring and attaches behind the knee. I am a bit bow legged. Also the leg curl machine I use is a plate loaded, single leg, kneeling machine just in case it might just be common with that machine.

Ive also switched over to GF's recommendation of lower weight and higher reps (10-20 range) for growth. The pain reminds me of the tendonitis in my elbow when not using an ez bar for curls (same type different location of pain and same motion). Thanks guys.

I had such pain once, skipped a few sets. Next session I was completely fine. Pop some ibuprofen and do a leg deload. Cut the weights AND the volume in half. Your legs won't grow but at least they'll hopefully heal. Good luck.

The issue is mechanical, not injury.

My tendons get tight during a leg workout and start getting pinched. I'm usually in pain sitting down driving home until I get to stand back up again.

I would suggest using a two-legged Leg curl machine. that way doesn't put too much weight on one side of your kneein my experience that causes tendon pain. you might also stretch between sets
