i bought this glove set called uno imax . they are cool however i didnt expect the light casings to be as big as they are -- htey are called micromax casings..

anyone familiar with led gloves-- ive seen some SUPER DOPE ass shit at shows and i cant seem to find what kind of lights they are -- most ive seen looked like the lights were so small that you couldnt even see the casings - hwoever with my white gloves the light casings show and look horrendous almost - its crazy.. any advice would be great

im looking for the brightest most versatile light there is thats obviously the smallest and most comfortable ! thanks glovers!

Look at the glovers vs. raw light show thread. Maybe you should just ditch the gloves :)

But if you're gonna glove go with the e-dots. They are the brightest and cheapest and they are like the size or fingernails.

www.ledkid.com has the cheapest bulbs and casings around, unfortunately theyre still in the middle of relocating to Hawaii.

I will always recommend Micromaxes for everyone since they are the easiest to use and maintain (if you know what youre doing).

Dropz are currently the smallest microlights on the market (afaik) but they are pricey as they have 8 modes. Ive been using Micromaxes for a year now and Im never switching. If youre on a budget, get e-dots. Simple and great for someone whos new to gloving. Inovas and Photons are way outdated and are just annoying because of their size.

Ya, but Inovas and Photons bring back that warm fuzzy 7 years ago feeling for me:) they wouldn't be practical for gloving, but for unadulterated light straight to the brain they are awesome. If only i had like the money...

hmm im still not sure i see the ones im talkinga bout these lights this kid had looked like they were tiny as fuck and that they were pulsating hella fast but they were really bright and they were just amazing like.. every glove video ive seen hasnt looked like these

i think micronova is actually what they are called the ones that aare the coolest looking i think.. anyone seen those?

A micronova is a micromax casing with a micromax chip that emulates the modes of an inova

The smallest light out there is an eLite, and they suck. They have a really awesome 4th mode to your standard Evo 3 modes but they're made of hard ABS plastic and due to this the actual action of changing the mode becomes very tricky. The top over the "dank" button (micromax button) is covered by a gelatin like pad, but due to the sides being the ABS plastic u can't use your thumbs to effectively press the button like on a MM case

Hard to explain without having them both in your hand

MM=the best. My favorite is Evo-x chip with microskinz or clear MM CASINGS. The microskinz will feel smaller and more comfortable. The MM standard casings feel more solid and old school. Just whatever u do, learn to love clear casings and closed diffusers.

What you have is essentially perfect. If you don't like the casings get microskinz from orbitlightshow

This is probably the first time I've heard of someone complaining about the size of a micromax tho lol

The only thing smaller is an elite or pre wired set, and if you want a pre wired set I'm done helping lol

WORD ChiLights...
Just one thing, Pull those diffusers off dude, get those things nice bright:)

This.

Although...I still have two photon freedoms that I use for my thumb lights, and I absolutely love them. But I will say that I'd never bother getting a full set of them, as they're not cheap.

=D

I love em.
The modes are kinda hard to cycle through since you have to hold the button to get it to change. So you have to set the mode before the show, or just deal with them staying a solid on/off. You also can't use IC bulbs, but that never bothered me.

How much different is gloving/lightshows compared to just straight up digits and finger tutting? I know a lot of the moves are the same but it looks like it may be a bit more relaxed and forgiving because people are focusing more on your lights. I have experience with both and have a pair of gloves with some edots on the way to try it out, mainly want to know if it will be a smooth transition or if I have to unlearn everything/start from square one again.

So my lights finally came, got them all setup and working. I have one question though and I can’t seem to find any answers online. Where am I supposed to put them in the glove? On top of the tips of my finers? Under the tips? In front of the tips? They seem to move around in the gloves an awful lot but I assume that’s because I am putting them in wrong or maybe because I have small fingers?

About 90% of glovers put them on top of their finger tips (over your finger nail, button facing up/away from fingers)

Then thumb light is usually inverted to illuminate your palm, and on the pad of your thumb.

Also, digits/tutting are all facets of lightshows, the only difference is that you now have to do the moves with those lil microlights in addition to your fingers.

Finger roll is the most important thing to "perfect" as it is incorporated into pretty much every move out there with minor tweaks (finger roll, finger wave, tunnels, whips, u name it)

Also, they do move around a lot, maybe smaller gloves if the move TOO much.

Also, don't flail your hands around like a madman, that's probably why they're moving around so much, lightshows are about flow so most of the time unless it's a wicked bass drop you're not really, or shouldn't be, going so fast

I see hella noobs at shows just like viciously flailing their hands around in people's faces and attempting to figure 8 alot, and while that may look somewhat cool, a lightshow should really follow the beat and incorporate many different trippy "moves"

Plus, figure 8 is for bads, it's allllll about smooth liquid and liquid 8

Thanks, will try them over the nail. I am already good at finger rolls but it definitely takes some getting used to with the lights. I tried doing some finger braids and that didn’t work too well with the lights there lol

Haha for sure, those look nice my dude! It's tough getting used to them but once you do you barely notice they're there

Also, if you really can't stand the size or them moving I recommend microskinz
