Not sure if this is the right place to put it, so if a mod wants to move it somewhere more fitting, go right ahead!

tl;dr Looking for some cool drugs that have beneficial long term factors or just no bad long term effects.

Right now I smoke weed and also take Adderall every once in a while. I have had to up my dosages of amphetamines to get a comparable strength. Unfortunately I may be one of those people who have a rapid tolerance. :(

In economic terms I am looking for a 'perfect substitute' for Adderall. I need something that I could use on occasion or everyday to replace it with. Preferably it would have no cross tolerance, and would be easily obtainable. So far I have caffeine, and maybe ephedrine.

no any recreational drugs can be used for a long time wothout losing it's effectiveness and fun, you gotto to understand this.

I chalk it up to a philosophic duality behind the very nature of the universe: all things tend toward the mundane, and that what we make our environment becomes the measure of the mundane; whether that is constant bombardment of amphetamine neurochemicals or not. It is novelty from where we derive the most pleasure and novelty is fleeting and difficult to grasp; alas it cannot be grasped with any perpetuity. That to which we place ourselves becomes the average. The contrast of hot is known by cold, the direction of upwards is understood by downwards; they co-substantiate one another within an a-priori dialectic of ideals: their manifestation is a matter of sublation between abstract & concrete, subjective & objective... and by whit a drug cannot be fathomed that never has any loss of being our muse to the degree from which it started to be.

Nagel gets it. The novelty is what you really develop a tolerance for...at least in the begining. I find that ephedrine is very similar to adderall and produces less side effects IME. That being said its not 100% safe and you should do some research via erowid and other sources before trying it. Primatene and Bronk Aid are OTC in the US and are sold as nasal decongestents. There is a synergy with caffeine but be careful how much you use!!! I recommend ~10 mg + a cup of coffee. If you like it you can SLOWLY increase the dose.

You could buy some MDPV and use is as a substitute. It is has a different mechanism of action, so you will not see much cross tolerance. It is quite addictive and must be dose carefully. Like any stimulant, it is prone to a rapid tachyphylaxis, meaning an increased need to increase dose....

And its been a long time since ive seen ephedrine OTC, actually sitting on the shelves in the US, but I believe it is still legal to buy small amounts. It has cross tolerance with amphetamine and is not without its side-effects.

The Oxazoline class (pemoline and 4-MAR being the only ones i've tried) of stimulants did not seem to exhibit such a profound occurence of tachyphylaxis, but in the there no escape from this.

Take less, with lower frequency........

Thanks for your help everyone! I'm sorry it took me so long to reply to this, its a shame that there is no way to escape the mudane in one manner, but thats to be expected I suppose.
