I'm not worried, just curious. have you guys heard any stories about LE using bluelight posts as evidence in court? it seems like this would be very rare, but what do i know? what could you post that could actually fuck you over if they took the time to look? it doesnt seem to me like there could be many things one can write that can be entered as solid evidence in court. then again, you can still bring up some posts to demonstrate "judge of character" or whatever they call it. like it's not evidence per se, but its meant to help the jury decide what type of person the defendant is.

slightly relevant question: how does one avoid "posting or exchanging any information on ongoing or future criminal activity," as is written in the user agreement? do you just say like, "this happened a month ago" or something?

Having used drugs is not illegal. If you've used up your drugs, you can't be charged with anything.

However, buying, selling, or possessing them is.

Don't say you're dealing - make no mention of any operation or location
Don't say you intended to buy/sell at a future date.

Yeah it has happened multiple times in the past. I remember hearing of a few cases where a zealous parole or probation officer has shown up in court with post histories as evidence. There was also a bluelight meetup that was busted at a hotel in florida a long long time ago. So yes it has happened in the past but taking just the most common sense precautions should be enough to protect you.

Don't openly explain your plans to go buy a pound of drugs in a few days. Don't brag about the fact that you currently deal drugs. Don't give specific locations, dates, dollar amounts, names, etc.

That sort of stuff. Use your head when posting.

And that is true about the party being busted up by the cops. LE definitely does stick their snouts in here and look around from time to time (even try to bait people in sometimes, that's one of the larger reasons you should be careful who you PM), so don't give them anything to go by. I never heard of the post histories being used in court (not really sure how they could prove it was you making those posts) but yeah I suppose it could happen.

Just be smart...

The PO thing was back when the gallery was still a thing on BL. Some moron posted pics of prescriptions he had robbed from peoples houses if I remember correctly.
