Lawmakers Call For An End To [US] Federal Marijuana Prosecutions

It's not really about being able to consume the drugs we like, it's about helping society in general. The effects of legalization (good or bad, I believe it is yet to be seen) will impact the whole population, not just the population using drugs.

marijuana is a drug that has a chance for legalization, so might as well support what we can have, because i don't see having legalized coke and tabs any time soon lol

Hopefully it becomes legal during or soon after this recession is gone. good things can happen from bad things, and I have a feeling the legalization of MJ is one of them.

I wonder how many states have to legalize marijuana before the federal government changes its stance?

I believe New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Pennsylvania all have legislation being introduced. Maybe by the time these are passed the Feds will get with the program.

In NJ its going to pass and the gov. will sign it but the restrictions will be super tight because big pharmaceuticals doesn't wanna loose money & let you grow your own. No matter, its obvious where this attitude will take them.
