Sorry if this is not the Health Q and A section. but i was told to post this there since my antibiotic is not listed in the antibiotic-ecstacy thread. Im going to ultra this weekend. unfortunately i recently got sick with some sort of strep throat. i am on antibiotics. it is called Cefurox. I was wondering if i can roll while on this antibiotic. i will probably only be taking a half since im sick. if i am not feeling any better tomorrow, i will have to cancel my trip to ultra music festival prayers please

Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic, similar to cephalexin and therefore should be safe to take with ecstacy (as it does not inhibit CYP34A.)

Be sure to take ALL of your antibiotic as prescribed (on schedule and finishing the full round) so that your infection doesn't return.
