L-5-htp

So i just went to the store and picked up what i thought was 5-htp, I look at the bottle and see its l-5-htp (L-5hydroxyTryptophan). Are there any real differences between the two? Is this better or worse for preloading/postloading? was having trouble finding anything about it so i thought I'd post

Edit: So upon further reading the L just means a sterioisomer of 5-htp, the Levo isomers from what I've gathered are the ones that are active in the brain. So yup, if I'm wrong or have anything to add please do so

you do want the L isomer, all amino acids your body uses are of the L conformation. D isomers are almost unheard of when it comes to amino acids
