Atmophere is not so much trying to harsh on attire per se. Probably tons of vick, candy and pacifiers is not a great idea. Big pants are big pants. People are going to have on some big pants wherever there are big speakers. It's a given.
Strings and glow are a no go as I understand it. Strings are not going to be a great idea, more than anything, because it's not an enormous venue and it's going to be unworkable to spin them without killing other party goers in tragic glowstick accidents. Glow in general is not a great idea because the venue tends to be more of a club than a rave crowd. It needs to stay a club. This event is legal and it is for adults. While all shades of the electronic community are invited, welcomed and certain to be there, it's still a club which offers this event more safety, security and a lower profile than a straight up rave can. So certain visual signifiers of a rave are not the best idea if we want to keep this more safe, secure and at that lower profile than a straight up rave.
All of us were/are/will always be ravers who are ready to rage/jack/etc till dawn. PS: After 14 years of raving I feel comfortable saying that no clothing makes me any more or less ready to dance like no one's watching.
AND NOBODY is going to be standing in place. In LOUISVILLE WE FUCKING DANCE! We did an event there quite recently with little promotion and I can tell you there was a packed house who was no giving up.
So I send my humblest invite to you LoveHateKill and anyone reading this. Come on out! It will be worth it. Louisville is strong and has a great vibe no matter where or how it goes down.
Everyone be safe and...
GET THERE EARLY
