Can someone clear up the kush drama? I hear of so many different types(feel free 2 add), any experience report or information on the lineage, smokeage, and anything else would be appreciated.

OG kush = chem 91 selfed-clone only (going on 20?) or chem91X"the secert ingredient"? some speculate lemon thai

Bubba kush = "The reason it was called pre2K1 is because that's when orgkid(sp?) came on the scene at OG and made the S1s.. So essenstialy if you can trace & date back your Bubba cut before 2001 you likely have the real deal.." -Verification Needed-

SFV(Pinesol smelling) Kush = Low yield High potency, clone only(?) reported to be pretty worn out but was all the rage a few years back

Purple(or)Orange kush =

Lemmon larry OG kush =

Platinum Kush =

Kush-age =

og Fire kush =

OG kush isnt an actual kush i hear a lot,
Master kush on the other hand is a real kush but not a real "og related" kush.

i just smoked some "blue berry kush" tasted real sweet and i'm pretty baked.

this got me thinking.. National Kush history month would be mad kick ass. That blueberry kush sounds amazing, got my mouth watering!

yo wassup i was the first person to bring kush from the valley of the same name. what's haapnin

Bubba, Afghan, Mango, OG... can't beleive these weren't mentioned... Kush is dank but I had better.

I heard they named a type of kush after Akon, is this true?

2009: auto# smoked a joint of master kush pollen and purple kush bud - the finest of canada - and was blown away.

The Akon thing i kind of doubt.. I may just be a skeptic.

Master kush pollen joint?! Im def a bit jealous. Ive enjoyed Mango Haze(Mr.Nice silver haze cuzin) & that may be among the all time favorites but i have not been lucky enough to indulge in such a kush although i look froward to the day i might. More of a Sour D cat at <3 then a kusher.

I've got a buddy at my NORML chapter that could literally write a book on Kush strains.

I'm really skeptical about calling buds by name unless I'm getting it direct from one of the grow-ops that I go to. Even dispensaries can be kinda shady about changing names. For example, I visited a friend of a friend's dispensary in the SFV about a year ago after they were closed to hang out in the back room and smoke/hang out/play video games. One of the guy brings up the fact that they need to come up with what they're going to call the new buds on the menu, even though they order it from the grower with the strain name written on the turkey bag.

Got some "headband kush" right now.

Sour Diesel x OG Kush allegedly. So named because when you smoke it it feels like you're wearing a headband (with the forehead expansion feeling and whatnot).

There's a lot of kush around here. I've smoked afghan and purple kush within the last few months, and just got some stuff called sour kush which is supposedly sour diesel x afghan kush, but I think that's probably bullshit.

The Kush strain first came from the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan.
master kush but OG is not a real kush.

Send him our way!
No offense man cause it doesnt reflect on you but those grower dudes are dooschbags & Noobs to be renaming strains, straight disrespect IMO.

Impressive! Please do share some tales of your experiences & knowledge & name of the specif strain your eluding to.

Hindu Kush - This strain is thousands of years old. It 's believed to have been originally bred by the people of the Hindu Kush mountains for medicinal use.
