Kratom while on buprenorphine

I just want to make sure, if I've taken around 1.5mg of buprenorphine plugged, would I still be able to feel kratom ? I just received some kratom and I have never tried it before.

For reference to the type of kratom, it's "a touch of extract mixed into this Borneo/Indo combo". Whatever that means, I was recommended it by someone so went with it. I was told it's similar to around 20mgs of hydrocodone in feeling. Now I've been dosing the buprenorphine for the past 4 days since monday every night. Always less than 1mg except for tonight. Now I'm not that high and I don't actually think it's tolerance, I think I wasted a bit when I plugged it due to other reasons, unfortunately.

I was recommended 3-5 grams of this kratom I have for a good effect. Is it safe to dose while on the suboxone, and will I actually feel it ?

Also... fuck me how do you guys swallow 3 grams of this shit. I weighed out 3 grams and it's a lot of powder lol. I heard it tastes awful and I'm not looking forward to taking it...
 
I don't think it tastes that bad, it's just the texture. I have tasted WAY worse drugs. I would just stir it in a small amount of juice and gulp it down personally.

As to whether it will affect you if you already plugged 1.5mg of bupe, I don't know as I haven't combined them, but I'd assume some of the kratom's opioid effects may be diminished (I don't think the bupe will block all of them, the binding sites are likely a bit different, and kratom also has some non-opioid effects). As for safety, I think 3-5g should be fine (as long as you're not like already extremely high or something), but it's hard to say since your kratom has a "touch" of extract mixed in and all kratom is different anyway.

But it's not going to be a great way to gauge the effects of your kratom if you've been using bupe the past 4 days and have never done kratom before.
 
Yea I know it's not the best way to gauge it... Thanks for the info though. I'm actually capping some right now because I'm bored and didn't want to taste it. Next time however I'll try the "toss n wash" with some orange juice. It doesn't smell that bad, and most things taste like they smell so I doesn't seem like it will be too terrible. The 5-HTP I dumped out of the capsules I'm using, now THAT smells fucking bad lol.
 
Maybe start off with a smaller dose to be on the safe side just in case your kratom is really strong or you don't like the effects, you don't know how you're going to react to it and you can always take more.
 
I took probably 2.5g. A dose on the smaller side. Probably should have saved it though... Even though it actually was great and totally added to my high, I was nodding hard and eventually fell asleep way early than I expected lol.

Unfortunately it was like 6 or 7 capsules, and that was annoying to swallow.
 
Yea kratom worked for me too on buprenorphine, I used to make tea on it not just swallow the powder. Just add lots of sugar and lemon and it isn't that bad in my oppinion.
 
It all depends on tolerance,if you have low tolerance to both drugs then they should work and be ok.

I think Kratom is a partial agonist in small doses and full agonist in high doses,so i`m not entirely sure how that would work with Bupe as Bupe is a partial agonist,i would expect that it would block large doses of Kratom on the MU receptor,so keep your Kratom doses low and you will get the speedy stimulant effects on top of the Bupe buzz,take them high and it will be a waste of Kratom.

Bupe is powerful stuff OP,and Kratom for that fact...Both are seriously addictive and change you...Into a slave. Just be careful buddy,enjoy what you do but just be bloody careful.

Buprenorphine is a full agonist in doses <2mg. Norbuprenorphine is the active metabolite at your receptors.

Kratom itself has 25 different alkaloids in it... 7-hydrohydroxymitragynine being the one most responsible for it's effects. I really couldn't tell you WHY the combination works, but it certainly did for me. The buprenorphine didn't seem to block the kratom in any way.

Anyways, I no longer have any Bupre and don't plan on obtaining more, same with kratom. Neither were that great. I'd rather have hydrocodone than buprenorphine.
 
I want to try kratom...I have heard it is a really mellow opiod like effect and that it comes with chances of withdrawal and addiction...I guess on second thought since I can get addicted to oxycodone so fast that maybe I should save myself some trouble.
