I've been reading about Kratom Leaf. A plant that is indigenous to Southeast Asia.

According to what I have read, this plant has some psychoactive properties similar to that of opiates and stimulants, though quite mild in its potency.

It was recently banned in Thailand after reports of abuse from middle class working adults there... and from what I know, nowhere else. The drug laws are quite tough in Thailand so I am not surprised to hear that... though this dynamic has gotten my attention.

Can anyone tell me about it?

There is tons of info about it on this site, wikipedia, Erowid, sites that sell it, and through google search.
You can find out everything you need/want to know by doing a little research.
If there is a certain thing you want to know about it, than asking the question here would be a good idea, but you just want us to tell you about it?
There's a lot to tell, so i would just do some research on it. And if you get confused about something, ask us.
But your question is like saying "apples grow on trees, and people eat them.. can you tell me about them?" it's just too vague of a question.

Yes you're right, at some doses it's like an opiate and some like a stimulant.
I used to use it years ago before i had an opiate tolerance. It's good for people with not much opiate tolerance or for w/d's. There is a lot more about it but i don't feel like typing all night.

^ What he said, use the search engine and you will find a heap of information about it on this site alone, let alone what Erowid and google will turn up.
