Hi. I've been searching around for an answer to this for a while, but what little info I have found is contradictory. Is kratom+salvia a nice or nasty combo? Some people seem to reckon that salvia could block the effects of opiates and/or cause precipitated withdrawal, neither of which which sound too great. I'm not that convinced though, as they (mostly) affect separate receptors to one another, kratom mostly hits mu and delta, while salvia mostly affects kappa. Has anyone got any first hand experience of salvia whilst regularly using kratom?

Cheers

I've seen the occasional post saying salvia caused PWD but I think it's complete nonsense. Especially when you're talking about kratom, which may have some opiate properties but isn't an opiate by any means and I've only known a few people that had any dependence to it. And their dependence was really minor, minimal discomfort and withdrawal symptoms. I've also smoked while dependent on heroin, no PWD or even withdrawal symptoms. I just really hate salvia, complete waste of time.

^its not an opiate. But it is an opioid.

Salvia has no effect on the mu-opioid receptors. So it won't cause PW.

^ Well aware it's not an opiate but I definitely could have explained that a little better. Brain is a little foggy today.

S. divinorum can be a very useful tool if you know how to use it. But it's far from a recreational euphoriant, it's a pretty brute force psychedelic.
