1. Does kratom make depersonalization or derealization worse?

2. Would kratom worsen anxiety?

3. If used every other day , would it be addictive ( I am very strong willed , and dont get addicted easily)

4. Can kratom be used during sports?

5. Is music any good on kratom?

Thank you!

1. From personal experience I would say YES at high doses especially
2. Again from personal experience yes especially strains that have more of an upper effect
3. Yes
4. Yes but as with any drug that induces an elevated heart rate be careful traditionally it is used during the day for work in some cultures.
5. Oh yea!

Wow thanks for the fast reply. I'm 2 months off sober from herb , my dp is going away pretty good , i drank liq at a party and felt fine. Would you recommend me trying like 1-2 g's of kratom?

I'm beating my anxiety with meditation , how does kratom worsen it?

What strains do you recommend?

How long did you have dp for?

Kratom has 20+ active alkaloids, some of which ( especially at low doses ) act more as a stimulant, this is what can lead to high anxiety, and at very high doses it can have very powerful psychoactive effects which can worsen anxiety as well. I always used extracts so I'm not good with dosing... check erowid. Strains a Kratom pro would need to give advice and I would say if it does cause DP it may last for a few days at the most...

Ok great thank you , when you said that it would last a few days at most , is that for someone who never had dp? Because I currently still have it , it is not severe or anything but i still have it nonetheless. And if it does refer to me , you mean it would make my dp worse for a couple days at most?

Kratom is a nice high, it doesn't affect my anxiety in any way..
But it is fun
Until you drink too many cups of the tea and puke, happened to me twice when i tried to go too far with it. I guess that's why you can't overdose on Kratom- you puke it up before it hurts you.

May I ask how bad is your anxiety?

Compared to weed and music , how does kratom and music match up?

My anxiety is calmed because of my Abilify, but i do get anxiety but only when i leave my house (I'm agoraphobic)

Kratom makes me feel really good and appreciate music more because i'm in a better mood. The effects of Kratom are pretty mild tho.
Again, watch your dosage, or you'll puke, just drink like one big cup, slowly, and wait an hour before redosing

Yes but why bother, DP can lead to some serious issues and drug use, even if its just for a few days. I am at a point in my life where I'm not allowed to smoke and get UAs and I most definitely choose not to do Kratom.

I don't think music is any good on kratom. I feel like on any opioid, music is never any good but that may just be because I am an addict. I find myself listening to a lot more talk radio when I'm binging on any opiate, especially kratom or heroin for some reason.

My experience...

1. Not for me, quite the opposite. I find kratom brings me clarity of mind, though I can only speak for drug induced DP/DR.

2. Can be a double edged sword. It used to cause great anxiolysis at normal doses and anxiety at overdoses... though nowadays anxiety is a guarantee.

3. Impossible to say with certainty, maybe, maybe not. That's cutting it very close IMO. As a rule of thumb, 3 days a week with usually two days between doses, sometimes one is a schedule that you for sure won't get addicted on.

4. Definitely, I go to the gym on kratom all the time and when I used to BMX it was literally a performance enhancing drug.

5. See stotched's post above.

How long have you had dp/dr for and do you still have it?

I just ordered the red thai borneo , and I will cancel the order if it will worsen my dp , I'm at a point where I'm proud to be 2 months free of herb and not in a weird state of dp like the beginning. Apparently this strain helps dp.

And when you said anxiety is a gurantee is that a personall feeling?

I had it for months after serotonin releaser abuse, I no longer have it. The anxiety I get nowadays is a personal intolerance I developed to kratom after years of abuse. Before this happened though I only got anxiety when I dose way too high, of course I can only speak for myself. I should mention the reason I started taking kratom was for anxiety and it worked wonders when used correctly.

I quit weed after smoking it everyday , 2 months strong. I quit sugar , and I was a huge addict to that, 1 month strong. I havent fapped in 10 months , after being a porn and masturbation addict. Trust me strong will and determination can take you places. Mind over matter friend.

None of your examples are on par with physical dependence to opioids. If it was a matter of will power, do you think any of us would choose to be addicts? I never had an "addictive personality" but that didn't save me from getting addicted to the painkillers I was prescribed. Kratom definitely isn't equivalent to oxycodone by any means but it does cause physical dependence in regular users.

I'm going to end the conversation here as not to derail the thread, PM me if you have any further questions or commentary. But it's been pretty well established that addiction and will-power are unrelated.
