Kratom/kava extraction

So my dog has recently been trying very hard to stay away from opiots, benzos, amps and all the other fum stuff. He is limiting himself to kratom and kava only. He has been just chugging them mixed with juice, but the powder is getting stuck in his throat and causing considerable discomfort. He has used the dang search engine and has found nothing but conflicting information. So, does anyone know of any efficiant, effective extraction ,ethods for both so he doesnt have to ingest all thr powder?
