spot on about IVing of oxy.
a good way to tapper off of oxy or any other med is to...
-use a a glass where you specifically measure out the same volume (around 4oz's) of water every time you plan to take your dose.
-if you have oxycoodone hcl just put it into the water and let it dissolve, if yours has a time release- remove it, crush, place into water. stir up the water till you have a good consistent mixture.
-use a teaspoon or half a teaspoon to remove exactly that amount every time you dose. 1 fluid ounce = 6 teaspoons or 12 half teaspoons.
-keep a log of your schedule. you could do the same reduction for a day or two for each dose during that period, then remove an additional teaspoon or half a teaspoon and so on. you will be able to get down slow and steady over a month - 3 month period which ever works for you best!!
this is a easy way to mic out your dose and do a gradual slow taper... if you have the structure and want to do so. the loperamide will totally help and with this mentioned reduction your rls will be at a minimum as your body will have more of a chance to adjust.
