Kratom - First Time - My kratom experience

For awhile I was looking for something to help enhance my energy and quality of life. My first experience with kratom was a few years back. I'd just started smoking cannabis about 2-3 months before and that was one of the only highs I've experienced, that and alcohol. I hated my job so much at the time. I was working at a carwash. Luckily I don't work there anymore. My roommate told me about this green powder he and his other friends call 'happy powder.' He gave me a bag with about four tablespoons in it for work one day. He told me to put about half of it in my energy drink so I tried it. It tasted horrible. It was red indo. I mixed about two tablespoons in the energy drink and chugged it and instantly was hit with a rush of energy.

I got on my bike and rode to work and tackled the day feeling greater then I've ever felt before. The feeling increased more and more throughout the hour until my face and body felt kind of weird and I began to feel sick and tired. I began to seriously regret taking this. I was still somehow able to work well but I'm feeling utterly shitty. Soon the dreaded urge to throw up starts. This goes on for another hour and I keep drinking water hoping it will counteract it but I found myself rushing out from the detail bays but didn't make it to the bathroom so I hurled in a nearby trashcan, in front of other employees, in front of customers and even my boss.

My boss thought nothing of it and I just told him I wasn't feeling good so he sent me home. I'm still feeling weird when I get home so I plop down in front of the television and watched about five minutes of futurama and passed out for three hours, woke up and was very itchy and still feeling it a little.

Now all I take is one t-spoon at a time, 2-3 times a day and that's all I need or ever needed. Kratom has been a good helper in my life and I don't suffer any side effects anymore. Being a newbie I had no idea that two full tablespoons was way too much for anybody especially a beginner. Anyone else who takes kratom have a story?

For the record I was nineteen years old at the time and had just moved out of my parents house for the first time lol.

The next time I tried it a few days later I took half of what I took before, this time before a party. Same thing happened. It was way too much. Ended up feeling like shit and puking. I had to work and learn my way down to my sweet spot of a dose around 1-1.5 t-spoon for depression and anxiety relief.

Watch out because it's physically addictive, the reason it feels so good is because it hits the mu opioid receptor which is the same receptor that other opiates hit. Taking it 2-3 times a day is asking for withdrawal. Do you ever go a day without it? I was addicted to kratom for 7 years and eventually switched to harder opiates, no joke man it got to where I'd take a dose before bed and wake up at 6am all restless and sweaty and anxious and take another one just to be able to finish sleeping. Fortunately opiates are long behind me now.

I'm gonna reformat your thread title... this forum is really for trip reports, but since this is one I'm gonna keep it here.

What's up and thanks for reading. I've quit kratom cold turkey many times since I first started and it hasn't been too bad for me. The withdrawals aren't too bad just a nuisance. That's another reason I refuse to go above my normal standard dose. I'd love to play around with higher doses but I'm afraid that'll make withdrawals worse. When I've quit cold turkey I get restless muscles and terrible sweats. Sleeping even with a sheet on and I wake up and the mattress is drenched but without any covering I freeze my ass off. This is after months of daily use tho. Luckily the peak of this is over after a few days. After hearing how bad heroin withdrawals are the discomfort of kratom withdrawal don't seem so bad. I'm still getting used to things on this forum sorry in advance for any mistakes. I've had my account for awhile but I don't get on very often at all to post threads. I'm glad you were able to quit opioids. I've only juggled with a few substances myself but nothing too bad. I told myself when I'd start using kratem for anxiety relief I'd only do it a few times a week but I'm back to a few times a day unfortunately. It feels much better the less often you do it but its hard not to when you have a few kilos sitting in your closet lol. Anyway have a nice day!
