Today I drank roughly 8 or 9 grams worth of powdered kratom mixed with water. I heard that it might have antagonist properties...

If tomorrow I were to eat 65 mg of methadone (my usual recreational dose) would it have less positive effects such as sedation, euphoria, and general opiated feeling than usual because I took kratom today?

I usually eat 65mg once every seven days and it gets me very high. I just wanted to try out kratom today and now I am wondering if it will lessen my methadone experience tomorrow.

Insights and opinions would be very appreciated!

never heard of it but according to wikipedia it has the same properties as codeine

The subjective effects of kratom use are similar to the effects of opiate receptor agonists such as codeine or hydrocodone, and will prevent withdrawal symptoms in an opiate addicted person. Kratom's psychoactive effects typically fade after a few hours. Kratom is traditionally only used in Thailand, although some use in Malaysia has been reported. Besides kratom (or krathom), it also goes by the names ithang, kakuam, and in southern regions, thom. In addition to being used as a narcotic drug in its own right, it is often used as a substitute for opium when opium is unavailable, or to moderate opium addiction.

If this is true than it should not effect the methadone

hope this helps
