Benzos Klonopins & other drugs

This is a pretty serious question as I blacked out in a public place for almost 24 hours two weeks ago and was robbed for all I had after mixing too many Klonopins with some speed. I have no idea what happened meanwhile, I just woke up sitting hunched in the corner by the box I had rented to keep my stuff in at the train station, which was empty and all my money and drugs were gone. Wherafter my blood presure was so low I had to spend two nights in the hospital on drip.

This is very worrying as this sort of thing NEVER happens to me. I'm not a great benzo user and never black out on them in public. If it happens it's from taking a few too many when I'm safe in my home (like mixing it with MXE which can only take like 3 Etizolams). The greatest problem from me is that as they start working I forget how many I have taken and just take more and more and there seems to ne no limit to it.

So now I've got hold of some I'd like some information of the limits to using these and mixing it with other drugs. Not only for blacking out, as that can wary so wildly, but more importantly what could be a deadly or seriously damaging limit. Especially while mixing with other stuff, like alcohol, which I have practically no experience with as I'm not a great fan of either. But if I was to say take some with a few drinks, how can I stay on the safe side, or how many drinks/pills would it take before it was dangerous? Or given my tendency for amnesia, is there any safe way at all?

Benzos are notorious for causing amnesia and blackouts. My dad takes them daily and forgets he took them all the time and takes more. Because of this, just last week he crashed into a tree due to being over medicated. Long acting benxos like Valium especially (120+ hrs) but also Klonopin (50+ hrs) can last for days in your system. So by dosing daily over the course of a week you can even overdose on benzos.

Benzos are CNS depressants so you should never combine them with other depressants like opiates, alcohol, sleeping pills, etc. I would not mix them with any drugs just to be safe, IMO.

It may be a good idea for you to switch to benzo with a shorter half life than Klonopin. That way you have some idea when it is no longer in your system. I don't know your tolerance and neither does anyone else here so I really couldn't tell you what dosage of benzos or other drugs are "safe" for you to take. When it doubt, don't do them.

Benzos are responsible for many, many fatalities... mostly when mixed with other drugs. Why are you on them, if you don't mind me asking? Are there other alternatives?

Ninae,
I'm wondering about the same thing Rhun is. Do you need them for anxiety, or is it mostly recreational use?
I noticed you said you weren't "a great benzo user"...do you mean you don't use them very often or do you mean that things don't go very well for you when you take them?
If your use is purely recreational, I would advise you to stop using them,if possible. I realize this may sound extreme, but It sounds like you've been in several dangerous situations due to benzos. Do you enjoy it anymore? If the risks and bad experiences ( including blacking out whether it be at home or not) seem to be outweighing the positive, therapeutic effects, may be worth reconsidering if it's all worth it.
And mixing CNS depressants ( unless prescribed together by the same Doctor for medical purposes ) is ALWAYS a bad idea. We just never know when we'll cross that line, you know? There are many members who could tell you about mixing x and y 50 times and doing fine ...then the 51'st time, overdose.
Please be careful :)

Speaking from personal experience, please stop trying to abuse benzos. I wish I would have listened to someone telling me that before experiencing benzo withdrawal and blacking out for several months at a time.

Mac is right about the 51st time ending up in an overdose, I spent 2 days in a coma and was dead on arrival from an overdose from a combination that I had taken hundreds of times.

Would you mind telling me exactly what you had ingested and in what time period to make you arrive dead on arrival as it might save my life?

I've only tried a few of them. And everything I've read says klonopin is the easiest to black out on. I believe it is because it is not hypnotic(and therefore does not make you fall asleep.)
Someone correct me on that.
Also I didn't realize valium was so long acting..

Can I be in trouble taking valium and then taking klonopin less than 48 full hours after? (I'm talking regular doses, 10mg valium, 1mg klonopin, low tolerance)
