Since June of 2009 I have had a Klonopin prescription for anxiety. I decided not to take this drug daily due to reading about horrible withdrawal symptoms. So, on average I would take this drug no more than 1-2 times a week. Actually my use went more like this.

7+ days off, 1-3 days on. Sometimes I would take larger breaks, sometimes though rare, I would use for 4-5 days straight. My dosage was usually 0.5-1.5mg. But overall I was consistent with once a week usage to prevent discontinuation symptoms.

Well since mid October now going on 2.5 months I have not taken Klonopin. However, I have had transition feelings going on in my brain every single day during this whole period. I feel sort of brain/head pressure, tightening in my brain, and feels like things are almost moving around.

Does anybody know when I can expect this to stop? I know these withdrawal symptoms are not absolutely horrible, but it is bothering me quite a bit. I thought once a week using Kpin would be safe, but look at my situation.

I didn't have any symptoms until about 1.5 weeks after stopping. My worst day as of right now wouldn't be any better/worse than what it was two months ago. This has been very consistent and hasn't really toned down any during this period, which is why I am worried a little.

There's some mild anxiety that could be associated, but honestly not that much, but I know I am not going through full on withdrawal like somebody would who has taken Klonopin daily over this same period of time. I feel fine actually for the most part, it's just I have this annoying thing constantly going on in my brain. I once took Paxil every day for 8 months in 2008, and had discontinuation symptons much worse than what I'm going through now. However, the symptoms from Paxil subsided within a few weeks of stopping the drug.

I still plan on taking Kpin occasionally once my brain is completely feeling back to normal. I thought my once a week usage would be safe and leave me feeling fine when I would stop taking, which turned out not to be true. I'll switch to once a month or less after this experience.
