Harm Reduction kindly will someone set the record straight about palladone SR-UK

Similar to Canada's Hydromorph -contin these are issued in the UK for chronic pain sufferers and cancer patients. Not very big on the streets but some clinics use them as an alternate to methadone or Diamorph. I would like to advise properly how to safely make modified release to instant release whether through plugging or IV. Admittedly I do not know the chemistry in order to do so. I saw one thread similar to this question, but common sense told me that was highly inaccurate so I take my hat off to the kind Blue lighter that can make this possible.
Hydromorphone yes. Dilaudid no.
These are Palladone SR capsules, not tablets and though effective for pain without anything for breakthrough pain one must turn to alternative measures. I do not advise injecting pills, but does not mean it will stop patients from doing so. Everyone seems to argue about this subject so much: heat, don't heat, etc...
From what I have read there are some knowledgeable people on here.

Will someone please advise me properly and again I apologise as I know this has been mentioned before, but I am hoping for a newbie pass?

From what I remember, Palladone capsules were taken off the market in the USA because taking them with alcohol defeated the sustained release mechanism, dumping the entire dose into patients at once

So, perhaps pouring the capsules into a shotglass or similar and adding a small amount vodka & allowing it to sit, stirring occasionally, until they are dissolved, then diluting with H2O and plugging would work?

Just a guess. Perhaps dissolving the contents of the capsules in alcohol and then evaporating off the alcohol might work as well, leaving behind a powder that could then be snorted, plugged or filtered for IV use?
