I started my journey with marijuana, not cannabis, after a life saving immuno boosting experience and that started my growing journey as a teenager, was jailed repeatedly not realizing I became empirically obsessed by marijuana scientist studying auto immune disorders, and sought to protect my life and my family, by keeping it a secret my whole life.

The people who enjoyed my growing habit, got upset with me after they told me you cannot give this to people. I paraphrase "jesus... fuck... you cannot give this out to people, your gonna make your sleezy friends think they need to go to rehab after a marijuana and chocolate cigars and scotch. You drink that to wake up... they are gonna think you are an outlaw, or some kind of retard deviant anti establishment type consciousness objector"

I was set off.

To establish a way to get a response from NIH.
 
Ill just ask what the difference between marijuana and cannabis would be cuz I am sure I am not the only one that is wondering

I wouldnt tell people shit. Conformity is rampid and ugly. Why do you think they 'enjoyed' your growing habit (Financial benefit would be my only guess)?

It's the very same difference as the difference between gasoline and petrol, i.e. nothing but the term used to describe it.
 
When hemp buds were flooding the market I would distinguish between CBD buds and THC buds as hemp and marijuana. Both are cannabis plants. If you ask for cannabis you may get CBD buds or more common now are the THCa buds which is still legal under the farm bill. Soon to change I presume.

Marijuana was also a propaganda term used by Harry Anslinger to demonize it as a dangerous drug.
 
In the 1960's we took Harry Anslinger's attempt to demonize it and celebrated the fact that we knowingly broke the law to smoke it which turned the name into a positive connotation :cool:

One can also call it :
Weed
Pot
Grass
Dope
Reefer
Ganja
Hash
Herb
Chronic
And many other terms, I pretty sure ;)

Right this was my FIRM UNDERSTANDING. But I thought they op had something to say with "I started with marijuna, not cannabis" as if it were some kind of point they meant to distinguish....

I was just obliging the OP basically lol

Yeah, the word cannabis traces back to a Proto-Indo-European root (kan(n)a-) meaning "hemp" or "reed" Circa 3,00 B.C.. This migrated to the Scythians and Persians, becoming kanab. The ancient Greeks adopted it as kánnabis, which the Romans adapted into Latin as cannabis, the source of the modern botanical and scientific name.

There was a time when most people called it Marijuana or pot. Now there's been an effort to leave that name behind, I guess.

I made a mistake and called a friends kid on that .... "Actually that lemon square was good" --- "Oh was it actually?" Slipped right out of my mouth .... felt like a dick when I saw my buddies g/f correcting him as I walked off.

Marketing and Communications directors could not hold onto their desks. Clearly the company was uninterested in sharing the prize. Marinol and edidarol were not always called this. Some do not know a marijuana-based pharmaceutical with the imprint G13. How did they know it was on the pill. They knew.

what was it like 4, 8, or 16 mgs of thc in a damn gel cap. I remember finding those like they were the holy grail and being so disappointed.

Was Edidarol any better? never did hear of that to be honest

and HEEYY WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARIJUANA AND CANNABIS? Or was that just a typo, sorry it bothers inquiring minds
 
They gave my Dad marinol in the hospital to help stimulate his appetite cuz he wasn't eating. It didn't work.
I often find with pot, it takes away my appetite if it's too strong a toke.
 
It just wasnt enough I dont think --- some ppl get high from a 10mg edible though so no tolerance maybe. But for a chronic smoker it was money better spent on a bag
 
smoking bud should be plenty alright. but eating 4mgs of thc -- idk. 8 still prolly not. 16 you are pushing some effects but I believe it was in an ER gel capsule? I know gel capsule...
 
My gummies are rated at 10mg per gummy. I cut them in 4 and most days only eat 1/4 of 10mg. I think it's actually closer to 20mg a gummy so maybe like 5mg. Just something to take the edge off.
