Okay so i think this was just a way for this kid to say he doesnt smoke weed...but he said that he is allergic to marijuana..im like lol yeah ok...what do you guys think?

Possible, why not. You could be allergic to dust too, and thousand other things... ;)

Like the above posters said, its certainly possible. How could we possibly tell you any more then that?

I don't know of any exact numbers on the topic, but its fairly rare. Outside of that there isn't much we can tell you.

But I will say, he's either legitimately allergic, or just doesn't wana smoke. Either-way, let him be, its his choice.

iight as much as it sucks this sometimes can occur. My mother has always been like a straight A student & she seems to be allergic to cannabis Sativa oddly enough. When i was younger id try 2 hide my stash etc. but when she got it/it near her shed break out in hives & inform me! God damn, that was like living with a 2 legged K9 unit damnn it. No fun or faaaiiiiir.

It's very possible, one of my friends is allergic to either just smoke, or marijuana smoke, because she can't smoke weed without having her throat close up and get a rash. But if it's edible or vaporized then she's fine.

A boy I grew up with lost his finger nails as an Alergic Reaction to herb. True story.

^
LMAO wow That's something Peter Griffin might might do. :)

"Well if I can't smoke weed, then I'll smoke meth instead"

It can happen. I am allergic to some antibiotics. This chick i new a few years ago could not smoke bud because it would close her throat up. Unfortunately i had to find out first hand and was freaked out.

I've personally never seen someone have an allergic reaction to cannabis but I can say that I believe it is very possible that this can happen since it is plant material after all.

If you're friend wants to experiment just make sure he takes little tokes at a time from a spoon or something and see if he gets a rash or has trouble breathing. If so have some strong antihistamine on hand and put away the cannabis :(

I'm sure it's possible, but highly unlikely. I remember in summer camp we had to listen to an anti drug speech. The moron giving the speech was telling kids what to do if someone offered them pot. His one suggestion was to tell them "you're allergic". I think I would jump off a bridge if I was actually allergic to pot.:\

It's a shame that anti-drug speeches are always so bias and downplay cannabis so negatively. They should focus on the substances taking lives like alcohol, opiates, tobacco. Alcohol & Tobacco especially since they are legal and those substances can kill you whereas cannabis is more along the lines as medicine in my very honest opinion.

This story reminds of me of what someone who was just afraid of smoking, but doesn't want to sound like a "loser" would say.

instead of being like, "sorry I don't smoke..."

I had an idiot for a friend at one point in my life who would LITERALLY "PASS OUT" every time she smelt MJ. I smoked in another friend's backyard and then got in the car with her, way after everything but the smell would be on me. She got one whiff and threw herself out onto the grass so hard the people we were with thought my friend had hit her or something.

She was insane.

Damn Being allergic to herb it's a lame thing to say.
But i've heard ppl say that...
