What you are experiencing is completely normal. However, there are ways to minimize the negative affects it just really depends on how badly you want to feel better. Here are some tips:
1. Eat healthy. Eat a healthy balanced diet at normal meal times. Do not overeat or under-eat and stay away from processed foods and foods that are high in fat.
2. Take plenty of vitamins including fish oil and a multi-vitamin. There are natural vitamins on the market that are known to help the mood.
3. Sleep normal hours. Do not stay up all night and sleep all day. This will only make matters worse. Try and sleep 8-10 hours per evening. No more, no less.
4. Get some exercise. It doesn't matter what you do but try and exercise every single day. Ride your bike, walk, run, swim, join a gym. Whatever, just do it.
5. See the sun! It is hot pretty much everywhere right now but do not use that as an excuse to stay inside. Open your windows when you wake up in the morning.
6. Clean your living space. Spend a day organizing and getting everything clean. Your environment plays a big role in how you feel. A clean space will do wonders.
7. Find a hobby. It doesn't have to be expensive just something to do. What did you like to do as a kid? Can you pick that up again?
8. Force yourself to be around normal people and have normal conversations even if it feels fake. You need to condition your mind. The more isolated you stay, the longer it will take for you to feel better.
