can someone explain to me what this is? i realize it happens when you take a bunch of k but ive always thought kholing was an overdose on k but apparently it is not 8o

Quite a basic question but it is a confusing term. Usually, at least around here (where I live in SW USA) it refers to the out of body experience; the point where the body isn't noticed and exploration of the mind takes place, usually in a series of poor-quality hallucinations (unless combined with a psychedelic) of a static-filled nature. Strangely some common themes are experienced by different people, like underground pipes and landscapes.

Sometimes people forget who they are, or split into different personalities and talk to each other.

As far as I know, it can't easily be achieved by insufflation; IM injection is preferred, as the sniffed K seems like a different more sedate drug by itself. Usually for an averaged sized person, 100mg for a low end K-hole dose, or about a mg per pound for a stronger one.

An overdose of K would probably be when unconsciousness takes over, although people snorting it can feel unpleasant and vomit way before that.

A K-hole is what most people "shoot" for when doing it. It is the desired state of detachment.

I have K holed from IV ketamine use, however uncommon i LOVED IVing ketamine when i did it. Fortunately i will never be touching a needle again in my current state of mind at least, but man oh man was it a rush. And the high that follows is nuts, i never got any weird visuals like people describe, but i would leave my controlled state of things and for an hour or so i would be living another reality inside dreamy like states that seem like very detailed memories. If that isn't a k hole then i don't know what is, it would seem.

i accidently IV'd K twice (out of the 100 or so times I IM'd it, usually I'd check to make sure no blood was drawn back after this) and it was uncomfortably intense at first, then I was gone... its hard to describe it but I definitely prefer IM.

A K-hole is , as was described by 1st post, the out of body type experience, usually with closed eyes, an intense dream-like state with occasional psychotic thinking (like that the music i'm listening to was made for this experience or it was being performed for me by real entities/people live), with many low-resolution visions. At lower k-hole doses, "metaprogramming" can supposedly be performed; changing things about yourself and studying real-life problems.

Sometimes I'd get into K and try to focus on a problem such as death of a loved one and it would work quite well. This is the best thing about K IMO/E, it can really help cope with things beyond normal coping skills like death. It takes the fear of death away quite well (and I've heard this from others, I think I read about a suicide attempt on erowid about it. dangerous maybe for suicidal people? but does have antidepressant qualities after the main dose wears off).

Other times I'd try to do it concerning a problem I was having but would overshoot petty human issues and lose concept of who I was. K is the most gentle ego-loser.

If you don't like needles, K probably isn't for you, as a psychedelic anyways. Low doses can losen people up and "relax" you in a way, but it is not in the same category as IM. no matter how much I've unpleasantly snorted, it doesn't produce anything psychedelic; quite the opposite.

If I had K and could never have access to a needle I'd throw it in the garbage.

These things are pretty common. I think they, as well as the often reported sense of "precognition"during heavy ketamine trips can be essentially explained as follows: the sensory signals that synthesize into the conscious experience of the next note of music, or the next word out a person on television's mouth, for instance, are first synthesized non-consciously or partially consciously in one part of the brain and then present themselves in full conscious experience in another area of the brain afterward (by "full" I mean the kind of episodic experiences we can talk explicitly about). While we're sober this succession of brain processes happens so quickly that events in the environment (like music playing) and our conscious recognition of them happen essentially simultaneously, but when ketamine is blocking signals between different areas of the brain, the delay between non-conscious processing and conscious processing is extended. The result is that we "hear" the next note or lyric of music partially consciously a while before it's finally all put together for our clear experience of hearing the note for storage in declarative memory. So the experience of listening to music during one of these ketamine episodes is like: "Wow, it's like I've heard this exact same music so clearly prior to now that it's like it's being made for this moment".

But the reason you get that impression is because you are, in fact, hearing it clearly, just quasi-consciously, enough to give you a strong impression of it, before you hear it fully consciously. I think this and related phenomena are probably responsible for common experience of people getting the impression they are gods controlling reality on dissociatives. Subjectively, they seem to be experiencing reality before it happens due to the delayed signal processing owed to the influence of ketamine, and because they're experiencing it beforehand they intuit that they are controlling reality. Why? Because when we control our own behavior, say snapping our fingers, we experience what we intend to do before we do it. So with the ketamine mediated delay in sensory input from the environment we experience a very similar feeling phenemena as when we intend to snap our fingers (then do it) and interpret that feeling as evidence that we are controlling what follows.

I have k-holed from snorting it....

But damn it took a bunch, im a bit of a tank though....

Basically your no longer aware of your body and crazy stuff with go through your mind, you also might puke if you have eaten or especially had alcohol.

You want to go balls to the wall? 5 hits of acid + 150mg ketamine more or less depending....

Do not be anywhere remotely public.... It was one of the craziest experiences i have ever had.

Lol, so frusty, do you know what to look for now?

People say I argue semantics.

But thanks Kali that Ketamine is such a forgiving drug.

Imagine if people were chasing a "H-hole"? How many Heroin OD's would we have had by now?
