So got to that point where I've used to much Ketamine my tolerance is stupid and the physical side effects are harsh.

Over the last year have cut down my use loads though so not too bad. it's got to that point where it's either a lack luster experience or i get amnesia look like a complete retard for 30 mins and come to not knowing what happened. I even had a 6 month break where the drought kicked in and the break didn't really do anything for my tolerance.

Problem I have is Ketamine in my country/area is so popular that everyone is on it all the time and because i've been addicted to it for 4 years i find it extremely hard to say no to doing it even though it does almost nothing for me and actually brings me down.

Anyone know this situation or has anyone managed to quit for an extended amount of time and seen a real tolerance/experience change (To me K is not psychedelic whatsoever anymore which is what hooked me to the drug in the first place).

I hate to be 'that guy', but it sounds as if you just want to quit to get started again later on down the road. If you've taken a 6 month break, I say expand on that. Try to find other hobbies or tell your friends that you're trying to quit, they will hopefully understand. Tell them you're taking a tolerance break if they're the type of people who like to pressure you. Maybe you can come back to Ketamine later on in life when you can use it sparingly, maybe.

thats harsh man. i look at ketamine as something special, something that i only use once in a while.
i don't think its a drug meant for everyday long term use.
you've got to stop before it causes permanent damage.
you have developed a large psychological addiction by now, and it is never easy to kick a habit once you are in that dark loop.
but take a look at yourself and your surroundings. is this how you really want to spend the rest of your life?
if you fail at helping yourself; you need to find someone to help you. coming to tds is a good start.

Get on piracetam. It will render your K essentially useless

The physical health problems are not worth the greatest K-hole. They're extremely nasty as well as humiliating - imagine propping up the bar with a fucking catheter. I know this applies to most, if not all indulgences, but I think this is especially true with ketamine; less is more. Not worth using too regularly. As you know, the magic has gone and tolerance is frustratingly high. You say you're surrounded by a culture of ketamine users, which obviously doesn't help you veer away from this destructive vice. They're all going to be filling your head with denial-influenced thoughts, because they too are struggling with that psychological dependence. So give them space for a while. As well as physical health issues, psychological problems will also rear it's ugly head. Pretty shitty duo.

You've gotta fill that void which is usually filled with K (books, music, hobbies, weed perhaps, sex, other loves in life before K showed up). Oh and scare tactics might help - like reading about the horror stories people have suffered from prolonged K use. You've at least done half the work in admitting that you're not enjoying it anymore, you're disillusioned, and you're concerned about your use. Now you just need to make an active response to those feelings and thoughts. Easier said than done, like with most things. But just remember its not like you're still at that experimental stage with K, where every corridor hasn't been explored. The experience now is largely boring and too familiar, so what's the point in damaging your body with something you're hardly enjoying anymore? I'm not saying you should give up forever, that is an overly ambitious task, and quite hypocritical coming from me. What you should do, is use the prospect of lowering your tolerance as motivation to take breaks (extending it each time you use again). Take a month off first, then 2/3...and so on. It should hopefully get easier. It worked for me last year, when I was using nearly every day for months at a time. So much cash down the drain, horrible pains in my abdomen, not being able to sit still for a long period of time without needing a piss. Urinating like 20 times during the night. I used that system and now it's under control. I guess the drought helped too. But the cravings are nothing like they used to be and I never use more than once a month. Infinitely more enjoyable now, than hoofing half g lines and realizing ten minutes later it barely did anything. The party is over right now.

Where are you from?

My group of friends was destroyed by ketamine until the drought started in the uk. Been through periods of being pretty bang on it myself, injecting a couple of grams a day. It got to the point where I was essentially unable to get an effect without injecting. More than any drug a k habit made me depressed as fuck. As much as it's a cop out to say this, but if you really want to get clean you will. Get some support in your attempts to get clean. Once you've got through a couple of days it's an incredible amount easier, you just have to break the cycle.

Are you guys/girls free party ravers from Oxfordshire/Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Suffolk/Norfolk/Berkshire/Bedfordshire or the surrounding areas?

Your stories sound like so many of my friends i used to go partying with.

Fortunately i never fell under the spell of Ketamine, i dabbled occassionally between 2004-2007 and a few K-Holes later i realised this drug was not for me.

The last time i ever done a line of Ketamine was May 2007 at a friends house party, well it wasnt just a line of Ketamine, it was a mix of Ketamine/Cocaine/MDMA. They called it wheelchair. Say no more.

I used to be deeply in love with sweet lady k...I used to blast through 35-40 grams a month before my bladder started to fail on me...quitting was seriously tough, and I ended up severely addicted to phenazepam which resulted in a grand mal seizure where I literally ripped my own arm out of my socket.

All I can say is good luck. Just know that this is something you have to do, and if you must find a substitute, make sure it is something you're prepared to quit as well when the time comes.

Yup, Surrey. Used to go to loads of free parties.

Would hardly say <location removed - Vaya> was flooded, it's nowhere near as available as it was 5 years ago. <location removed - Vaya> was always the ketamine capital of the uk.

Guys, friendly reminder to keep this thread on-track without discussing the current (or former) locations where a certain drug has strong potential to be purchased or otherwise obtained. This is triggering information, as well as information that is not relevant to the question posed by the OP.

Fair 'nuff? :)
