I think im at that level.. my body inhaled the IV hydration bags the other day… the tolerance is way too high. So if i understand correctly if i use 300mg sublingual my body is processing all 300mgs but im only getting the effect of like 30-40mgs?
I do spit it out after letting it absorb in my mouth for 30 minutes usually wait until the flavor and numbing goes away as well as the effects starting to plateau or even diminish (usually at the hour mark but then i have an insane amount of saliva in my mouth its not a flattering process lol)
So it may not be quite this drastic a difference - listed BA for intranasal is 45-50% whereas sublingual is 25-30%. The other issue is that sublingual can be challenging to fully assess especially when there are large doses being absorbed over a prolonged period. While 10mg may absorb at 25-30% efficacy, I would bet that that number changes as more saliva enters the equation and you begin possibly spitting or swallowing to compensate. Additionally I'm not sure what the rate of absorption is considering time - that is, how many miligrams can be absorbed in 1 minute vs. 5, and does that rate stay the same over the full 30 minutes. I've fallen asleep with nicotine lozenges in my buccal area before, and upon waking 8 hours later found a mostly intact lozenge with some flavor that suggested it wasn't fully absorbed. These same lozenges tend to start crumbling after 30 minutes to an hour, let alone a full 8 hours while I was sleeping.
SO many variables but my sense is that you're probably getting the majority of that 300mg troche into your body, however how much gets lost through your stomach as ketamine isn't very effective orally. The troches may be better for lower doses but I do wonder if they're less effective per mg as doses increase.
i make my own ketamine nasal sprays but also can get a compounded version from a pharmacy as well i just liked making my own cause i could make it extremely strong just its probably not pure as its street k.. although the products feels fairly pure im no chemist and dont have it tested for purity. I can get 4 different types of crystals “street” obviously. Just not sure about IVing that as the impurities i worry about. I’m sure there’s a way to increase the purity though.
I like making my own as well and generally don't run into many issues with purity aside from a few times years ago. My impression is that much of the illicit ketamine available is diverted at a very high level from legitimate channels, as it is a notoriously difficult and well well guarded process to manufacture. Given how quickly ketamine moves and how profitable it can be while also competing with the pharmaceutical market, and retaining a relatively conspicuous consumer base, means that supply chains stand a good chance of being pretty honest.
There was an issue with Ketamine precursor A showing up in some test samples, though I'm not sure how frequently that occurs, whether it is still occurring as drugsdata hasn't been up, and how much it impacts batch quality.
The benefit to IV use is that blood moves very quickly which actually can make it less risky in some ways than IM injections (where a product can sit for a bit of time and can lead to damage like compartment syndrome) or SC injections which can be slightly more prone to infection. People have been shooting heroin for a long time, and that's a drug that begins with an organic extraction that is converted in conditions not known for being sterile. You run the risk of flesh eating bacteria which was big on the west coast in Black Tar Heroin, but as long as you thoroughly cooked your dope you could reduce risk even if if your dope was contaminated.
I've IM'd street k without issues off and on for over a decade. It's till advisable to read up on injection tips and best practices, and that being said, I've not heard any major health concerns related to ketamine use other than sometimes people fall down or take too much and pass out unexpectedly which can be scary for others and dangerous to the user. Habituation and compulsive use is a pattern that can also increase as more rapid routes of administration are used.
