Ketamine Appreciation thread

Walking/talking/Moving on a k-hole dose?

Whenever I take a quantity of k that I expect to put me into a hole, I lie on my bed, close my eyes and let events happen.

Every now and then, I read about people using k at extremely high doses and they're active! I'm not sure whether I have any desire to try sitting in a chair with my eyes open, waiting for the effects (visual stimuli alone would freak the HELL out of me on a hole dose) to come.

So, 'hole doses' - do you guys lay down or what??? Let's get as many responses as possible and see what the general concensus is!

I practically stop having a body when I breakthrough on K, let alone walk!!

I have only seen one person able to stand and walk on high doses of K, and thats a guy who has been IVing hundreds of mgs several times daily for years. He still cannot communicate well for 10mins or so after his shot though.

As for me, I can't but lie down or slump on a chair. I lose total motor control, and I generally cannot differentiate between anything I see with eyes open (so I close them most of the time).

And yes, I'll post in a K appreciation thread, even if it is in europe or africa ;) K is even in my avatar!

For ther past few nites i've been doing 150-200mg just before i get into bed. Although its a good laugh trying to walk around & having Matrix style fights with my mates, i much prefer experiencing K lying in bed, listening to music. Last nite, listening to the Beta Band with the lights off gave me a much more psychedelic experience than the previous nite when i listened to tubular bells with big brother on the telly!
The music you listen to really does affect ur experience as you use this music as a connection to the world you just left and it provides you with a sense of familiarity in a strange place. Lyrics also felt like they were being directed at me!
At one point last nite I saw the whole world in a teardrop! :)

Try listening to Boards Of Canada's 'Geogaddi' during high dose K trips. From what I can remember (it must be about 3.5 years since doing it) it seemed to stop time altogether and fuel the complete mess K loves to create.

Go on...

Try it.

I listened to a music dvd (cant say I watched it when my eyes were closed) and the lyrics dictated the mood of the k-hole. That was the last time I had musical accompaniment and I haven't looked back. I just pick one track to play now and have it in the background whilst I'm layed down and waiting patiently for my mind to be entirely dragged out of my body.

everytime I snort ketamine i feel really drained when the effects start to diminish, kinda like a comedown of a stimulant (ie: amphetamine). Also my stomach feels very bad , anyone has an idea why and howto combat it?

seems to dehydrate you. Most heavy K users get really bad stomach problems on K, the jury is out on why though, although, it has been suggested it forms crystals in the gall bladder.

A lot of people swear by spitting the drip out. antacids seem to help as does warm water.

Does anyone have any Ideas for some nice/trippy music for a K-hole, should be accquiring some soonish!

Being a Ketamine virgin, t'was my turn to experience the joys of Cat Valium for myself during the weekends festivities.

The scene was set, a couple of 2cb throughout the evening, Jackass 2 watched & lauged at so damn hard. The time was now right to partake & relax in a cushion filled, lava lamp lit room. Very Austin Powers! However, the lamps gave off a hammer horror green glow that reminded me of Frankensteins laboratory & was expecting Vincent Price or Peter Cushing to walk in. This was why my experience was very 70's rock, psychedelic, camp gothic horror, in a fucking brilliant way. Led Zeppelin were playing in the background & the whole thing was awesome in my mind. Being a budding guitarist (ie shite), I do know all of Zep's riffs & lyrics & it felt so real & felt so right in that room. I have no idea how long I was there for, or how long I was 'under'? It felt right & it felt fucking good. =D

I went back later on, because this was some crazy ass shit & I wanted more.

Hmmm....sadly the second time was frighteningly gash. It was full of negative feelings & nightmarish, unexplainable scenarios. I've no idea what any of it meant. I do remember a feeling of knowing what I was doing, knowing what was happening but hopelessy unable to break away. It was as though this nightmare world was reality & I was kind of stuck in a whirlwind drug addled shitey place. It wasn't until it had finished, I spoke with Felix & found out the music that was playing was Lemon Jelly. Not being familiar with them, apart from not liking them definitely had a great deal to do with the awful & not very enjoyable confusion the K brought me. :(

I will do it again in an instant, but only if the music is my choice. I've popped my cherry & now I know what all the fuss is about. Good times. :D

/\ Music is definately key. Silence feels like being on some wierd psychiatric gameshow to me, and one time i ended up with some god awful gabba playing (fortunately not at the peak, but still fairly out of it). Lay there on the floor for AGES thinking 'this is the UGLIEST shit i've ever heard! Who listens to this? It's HIDEOUS! Urgh!' but couldn't do a whole lot about it..

It looked like that bit in Lord of the Rings where all the orcs & goblins are inside that mountain bashing away at weapons & screaming with their ugly scary toothy faces.. O.O

Personally I can't stand anything with a 4/4 kick drum, something downtempo with lots of ambient sounds does it for me. Fucks the layers up a bit.

IzaBadger! - I know exactly where you're coming from. I used to always get that when I was stoned and listened to really hard techno, my mate used to experience the same thing. Was like a huge battle with loads of weapons clashing. Then we got another mate stoned and he described the exact same thing and compared it to Lord Of The Rings. I think it's something to do with those hard kick drums/tribal sounds and all the ride cymbals used to sound like swords clashing together.

Aye, I feel quite bad about that. I was just thinking 'I like it, therefore he'll like it too'. Stupid idea really, in hindsight. 8)

I tried ketamine on it's own and only felt drunk and numb, and well retarded haha, tried it on quite a bit of E, a bit of weed, and after a balloon something happened, i can't quite explain, it felt like the music was controlling me or i was riding it around the room, but i knew i was still up and dancing, and for the first time in my life i had bizzare visuals that night and the day after, so i have no idea wether it was the ket or not, but i'm definately wanting to experiment with it some more.

The thing with this happening is being able to stop the negative thoughts and turn them round.

It isn't easy beacuse trying to follow any train of thought on ket is hard but whenever you start feeling bad you have to just sit, close your eyes and focus on something that is good. Easiest way is to pretend you're floating through space, that works everytime for me. Certain songs make this MUCH easier.

Also, something that I've discovered is fun on ket is watching Fireman Sam. Don't laugh, I actually bought a Fireman Sam DVD just for this purpose.

It's insane. The way it is animated makes it better but if you take a large enough dose and then stick it on you start becoming part of it, as if you're one of the characters and what's happening in the dvd is actually happening in real life and since it's such a funny, happy, bubbly kids programme....it's GOOD to be thinking it's real. Better than watching something like Donnie Darko and thinking THAT'S real.

Try it %)

I think Bob the Builder would be brilliant. I want to kick fuck out of that scarecrow while in a k-hole. And drive the crane, that would be awesome. %) :D
