I don't know if you guys have been following the news or know about this, but there is a boycott against Kellogg for ending sponsorship with Phelps over the pot picture. This seems like a great idea and I'm just wondering who here is taking action.

I made a post just like your a few days ago.

I got mostly negative response of people saying they don't give a rat's ass.

But I'm w/ you.

My bad I couldn't find that post.

I'm not saying that what happened is such a big deal cause it wasn't. But if you make it into a big deal and catch the attention of the media. Then the media will bombard us with the topic, causing more people to think and discus it and finally people begin to focus in on the real issue. Marijuana Decriminalization.

Have you seen Obama's pick for drug czar (Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske)? There is no way we are going to see decriminalization while Obama is president.

i sent an angry letter to the cereal company.

but my buddy was saying that he signs contracts that prohibit such conduct, so maybe it is warranted

i dunno. their cereal sucks, i am a lucky charms man myself. general mills makes a good cereal.

I eat Honey Bunches of Oats w/ Almonds. Which, by-the-way, is the answer to all your problems.

There was a horribly written petition on shroomery in relation to this. i'd not have a problem with it majorly, because i see the only possible statement that can be given to Kellogs would be a boycott of their products, but i don't eat cereal, heh.
I'd say a boycott wouldn't be anything major, but i do support the reasoning that the market possibly making a dent in their profits after this 'boycot' may make them question whether it was a good business choice to make.
who knows, they might sit up and say 'shit, smokers and affiliates are a good portion of our market'. heh.
Good luck, but i'm not expecting much from this.

sorry I can't live without my Kelloggs...

and its hardly a worthwhile cause and will make fuck all diff to Kelloggs.

Really? I figured when compared to the previous drug czars notably Walters and of course McCaffrey, Kerlikowske looks pretty promising. He's from Seattle and respects their marijuana low priority law. Along with that he's done a lot of good with the needle exchanges in the past. He might bring a more objective look at the issue.

Maybe this is just a dream. I'm just hoping he'll be better then the previous bureaucratic douches. FUCK WALTERS:X

yeah man people are naive sheep for puttin that excuse in office.

I don't think Kellogg's even really "dropped" him.

From what I heard, his contract was up for renewal, and they just decided not to renew it. My guess in that instance is that they probably weren't going to renew it anyway, as people tend to forget about olympians fairly quickly.

And yeah . . I don't give a shit about the boycott and neither does Kellogg's.
