Keeping bud fresh

I need to learn how to keep my bud fresh, for a longer amount of time. I have an airtight glass jar, the only problem is after having the buds in there for a few weeks to a month, everything's all dried out. I need to keep the bud fresh so it looks and feels promotable to sell. I have grade A product, It just dries too fast when I have a couple ounces and I cant get rid of it all in (x amt. of time) and my business is moving as I am, so it will take time for things to pick back up again. I plan on copping a couple Oz. But I plan on the business taking a month or two to pick up, I need my buds to stay fresh and not completely dirt dry at the end of a course of around 2 months.

Maybe its better you keep some of your information to yourself,
I would have thought kilner jars were the best way, burp them every day then every 2 days or less when the weed is fairly dry. if you want it to moisten up again just leave them closed a couple days.

Lots of people who ive bought weed off never even use kilner jars, usually just a plastic bag.

Wrap your supply in a few airtight bags, and whack em' into the freezer.
Make sure they are completely air tight so no moisture can get it.
Done.

What? Ive kept an oz of bud in a bag for a month and it cured.. Also its impossible for bud to dry out when there is no air to dry it out ? Id suggest you buy a new jar or freeze your chron or smoke it..

I'm skeptical about the freezer thing, wouldn't putting your bud into such a cold environment make a large majority of the trichomes fall off? I feel like the best thing you can do is keep it in a jar at room temperature, but maybe I'm wrong. I keep buds jarred up for long periods of time, and I've never had a problem with it getting too dry and in 2 months I don't see it drastically changing.

I think storing your weed this way is bonkers. Don't freeze it!

If you're storing it for a couple of months use a mason jar (Kilner or Le Parfait are good examples). I have bud that has been curing in jars for two years and it's as good as ever.

One thing the freezer does is keep the aroma fresh. A lot of time the weed I keep in jars loses a lot of its smell. Potency seemed unaffected by freezing but I used it straight away. I have heard of people vacuum sealing and freezing for long long term storage. I have some weed from 2010 that hasn't been frozen and is still fine. I would guess moisture would be your main enemy...

2 months is not worth worrying about though

I like to get my weed bone dry, because I am getting more buds and less water weight attached (which is why it usually comes wet). I also prefer to vape and hit weed in bongs when it is bone dry - for joints you want the weed not so dry though or it will burn super quick (precisely why I like to kill bowls this way... dense, quickly burning smoke allows me to take the heaviest hits). Of course the bone dry weed should have been stored in jars, so that it would not lose much of its flavour and thc content.

I find that when sealed in jars, the chronic often improves over time. I would personally never freeze herb, but I know people who have stored it for years this way and it keeps fine. I just think that if herb is frozen, the natural curing process may not be allowed to unfold, and in my eyes it is a process similar to allowing the subtle flavours of a good wine or cheese develop through aging.

Thanks for all the tips guys, Im using a Mason jar, but I will not be freezing any of the buds. for some reason that sounds like a bad idea to me.

the freezer locks up the metabloic process nvm that idea. just smoke your weed and when it comes time to store it use a jar with the correct top and if you weed still dries out that quick switch to a new connect your buds shwap !8)

I've known a few people to throw in a silica gel sachet into the jar (like the ones you get in a shoebox)........but I'm a bit dubious about it.
