I already posted something without introducing myself first....how rude I apologize. I just got anxious. I'm from California and I'm new to this street drug thing. I got curious and wanted to explore correctly cause I need both my arms for work. Lol i work with needles and nasty germs all day....it's my passion. I know strange huh? So I know all about sterile technique buy realism that along with prepping my skin I also need to properly prepare whatever I am going to put in my body. I've seen first hand some complete idiots and their awful abcessed and I'm the one the swab the dr stuck in the nasty infected lump or hole in the arm, penis, leg, foot, femoral area, neck yes I've seen people come in with broken off needles sticking out of their necks. Junkies will shoot up anywhere they "see" a vein. However if they felt for one they would have much more success. Anyway I'm the one they send the swab to. I haven't actually done anything yet. But I have aquire some water soluble 2mg dilauded that I just wanted to see what the big Deal is about. And I probly won't progress from there. K I guess that's more than enough intro. I might not even do it after all but if I do decide to go through with it I WA t to do it 100% as safe as possible. But I will say this i would never buy anything off the streets like heroin that to me is a dirty nasty icky drug it looks like mud. I've only seen it on TV. I only have access to pharmaceutical things. And I do realism that only a very small percentage of those are iv able. K thanks every one. Hope I'm following your rules.

Welcome to the site, its nice that your checking up the safe way before actually trying it. There are a few threads around the place about IV'ing and techniques and the variety of drugs that people have injected so I'm sure you will find what your looking for.

Hello and welcome.

You have found a good place to educate yourself on harm minimization methods and it is wise of you to do so.

I will say this however, as an opioid addict myself, be very carefull.

Many people started down the road of addiction after just trying something once to see what all the fuss is about.

I am not trying to lecture you but just remember those junkies you talked about all started somewhere.

You definitely don't have to have a dysfunctional life or be predisposed to addiction to get addicted, particularly when it comes to opiates/opioids.

By all means have fun, just be aware of what you are playing with.

Can no longer feel benzos on top of methadone 80 mg x 23 yrs

I've been on methadone for 20 +yrs. For a month straight I've taken an avg of 8-16mgs of klonnies or zannies. I feel nothing. 2months ago I could take 5 mgs of klonnies or zannies and be fucked up. My tolerance could not have possibly increased so much so quick. Any advice? And please no warnings about the dangers. I'm well aware. Thanks

Hey uneducated junkie - welcome to bluelight.

You are absolutely in the right place if you want to learn how to use in the safest ways possible.
The forum is an absolute wealth of great information and advice from people with plenty of real-world experience with drugs (many of whom are also "educated" formally - in informally - in the topics being discussed; pharmacology, chemistry, various medical fields etc).

I've learned a lot of life-saving information from bluelight over the years, and was much like you when i signed up; a little overwhelmed by other members' knowledge, i guess, so it took me a while (and a lot of reading) to get to a point where i felt knowledgable enough to contribute and try to help people.
Drugs - especially IV street drugs - are risky business, so good on you for seeking to minimise the risks of doing serious harm to yourself, by educating yourself a bit better on the subject.
Even the most experienced heads sometimes have things go wrong - but the more you know, the better equipped you are to deal with any health issues that do arise.
If you're anything like me (...and a lot of bluelighters, it seems) you'll probably end up passing good information - gleaned from the forum (and other online sources of info on drugs) - onto your friends and acquaintances, spreading good harm-reduction practices amongst any drug using social group you are a part of.

Just from looking at your post, it seems you are in the habit of IVing pharmaceutical painkillers?

One of the most fundamental pieces of harm reduction advice around injecting pills is that you should always use a micron filter before injecting any sort of pill solution.
Do you know about these? I know a lot of folks don't, so if not, i would recommend using the search engine to find out all you can about micron filtering.

If you need any further information about that sort of thing, let me know and i can probably dig up some useful threads for you.

And to the above poster - joey777 - your post isn't really relevant to this thread, is it?
You're much more likely to get helpful responses if you start a thread of your own, maybe in the Other Drugs subforum. Just follow that link, find the box that says "New Thread" (around the top lefthand side of the page, if you're using desktop mode - if you're using the mobile setting, it can be a bit crap unfortunately, so i don't use it - but the same instructions [more or less] should apply) - and go from there.

Plenty of people can probably offer some thoughts on your question - but nobody is going to see it hidden away in this thread.
I'm curious though - what makes you think benzo tolerance couldn't have risen so much in a short time?
In my experience, benzos tend to do that - build heavy tolerances very fast.

As for warning you about the dangers; that's kinda the whole point of bluelight, so if you're engaging in risky drug taking (which benzos and methadone surely is, i'm afraid) - it's kind of inevitable that someone will warn you about the dangers.
So...that's just something that goes with the territory; people here want to help you use as safely as possible - to avoid serious complications, overdose and possible death.
So you might just have to put up with that i'm afraid.

Regardless - welcome to bluelight as well :)
