last year i ate about... 7500 mg of apap trying to get high on hydrocodone with an insane morphine tolerance (this won't work folks). i didn't get high at all but i turned yellow and was sick for 2 days. didn't even consider going to the hospital... i do have a death wish, but i wasn't consciously wishing for death at the time. anywho, i told my mom about it (she's a nurse) and she said the liver will usually repair itself if it hasn't been abused for long periods.

on the same subject, has anyone ever heard of liver damage from kratom? a few years ago, my brother got very sick, jaundiced for about a week after doing kratom. he was extremely ill and hadn't ingested any other drugs at all. i never heard of this kind of effect from anyone else and was just wondering if anyone here has heard of kratom causing liver damage. oh yeah, he drinks a lot though... maybe having an already stressed liver with kratom on top of that?

I doubt 48 Flinstone vitamins would kill a person; I ate 2 value size bottle when I was a kid and am fine... sort of, not dead anyway. I used to think that they tasted good, and still do!

It depends on whether or not they had iron in them. Iron is a leading causing of poisoning deaths in kids.

Someone's kid I know recently ate at least half of a 60-count bottle of those gummy-vitamins. This wasn't noticed for about a day. She was fine, but they had no iron in them, didn't even really seem to make her queasy or anything (yes they called poison control, and dr. for 2nd opinion). I would never have iron-containing vitamins around kids, because they all seem like candy (fuck, I think they taste good too). Just make sure they eat well, they'll get enough.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Milk Thistle within this entire ordeal, with all the posts about APAP-containing pill addictions and stories

I'm sad to hear Kratom has hepatic damaging properties :( I thought the tea, since it doesn't have any "additives" obviously, would be ok. How many grams did he use? I usually make tea with 6-12 grams.

you know, i don't remember exactly... i used to order it online, i forgot the source (this was back in 2004) and what i ordered was enough to dose twice a day for a week, so maybe you can figure out the individual dosages cause i can't remember. i think he did it for several days, maybe about a week, before he got really sick.

btw, it was the leaves i ordered and not the powder so the 'weeks supply' package was a large zip lock baggie stuffed pretty full. i remember it cost about 40 bucks if that helps with figuring out dosages and stuff, in case you happen to buy it from where i used to... i don't know what kratom prices are anymore or where to get it but it probably wouldn't be hard to find out again. i was thinking of ordering some more to try to get off opiates since i'm going to alaska for my job within the next couple of weeks and need to be healthy and NOT sick before then

I know many people who use kratom multiple times daily for months and months and years and never had any problems...

You sir are a liar, there is no way you took two bottles of Flintstones vitamins without getting fatal iron poisoning.

They probebly didn't have iron, if you search for them online you find that most of the types don't have iron, "Complete" was the only one I saw that did; also I didn't get sick or have any effects whatsoever. I was just a dumb kid at the time and figured they couldn't hurt me cause they where good for me.

^^ they never get high, either.

Your mind must be a bit too melted Mind-Melt, because proper extraction of mitragynine has delta and even mu opioid antagonistic effects. Learn how to do it, and you'll feel the real power of Kratom. Do NOT underestimate it.

Spaceface
MrCream...

Let me know what you find in regards to mitragynine's hepatic toxicity. I have never heard or read about it in any of my findings, it seems relatively safe.

Looking back on it the chances that the OP actually died was actually miniscule.

He found out within 5 minutes what just happened and what he took. He probaly arrived to the hospital in 20 minutes after ingestion tops. Most of apap ods are accidental and is mostly attributed to ignorance of the drug taker.

those are for kids, so by federal requirement there has to be less than enough of any chemical for a child to OD. it's highly possible he ate 2 bottles and was just fine. same with baby asprin. there's not enough in the bottle to kill a child, even if the kid ate the whole damn bottle at once. ;)

that was uncalled for.. i was joking around.

Shut up twirp. I hate people that post quick, fake comments. Especially those who come back and tell me my comment back with real information is uncalled for? Dude, I would break your wrists like they were twigs.

BTW, you would fall over if I gave you the right preparation of mitragynine. I don't care how high your opiate tollerance is, or how much your athiest views towards opiates calling a substance "the devil" are contridicting. You're an idiot.
