just taken a ambien 10mg on empty stomach

so im not in the least bit tired an have taken a sleeper and im starvin hungary will if i eat a soup in say 30 mins effect the ambien ive just taken? will the tablet fully absored in my belly by then an so the soup will not hinder its job in any way?

it will not interfere with the potency but taking it on a full stomach can prolong the onset of it meaning itll take longer to work it wont make it work any less
but you can eat or not its your choice

Food will usually not weaken the BA of a medication (with the exception of certain medications such as omeprazole and certain foods like dairy which can interact with some drugs, and MAOIs). It my prolong the onset of the drug, as the above poster stated, but that's pretty much reserved for eating BEFORE you take something orally to five or ten minutes after. 30 minutes after ingestion of anything will, if anything, probably make it break down faster because you're triggering the digestive response and getting your stomach juices flowing.
