I used to think I had to say something deep
Or that everything had some hidden meaning
Always feigning for insight
For what? Why?
The only insight that's really stuck is I know nothing
Even that I'm not always sure of
Just biding time, living where it takes me
Objects floating through a stream
Dancing, parading, beeping screaming steaming
Sense data
Arising, fading
No judgment
Who's there
From where do these words come
Who types them
Nothing extraordinary
Just extra ordinary
Its not so bad really
Seems silly to be honest
Whats all the hype
Sometimes dry
Sometimes miraculous
Sometimes dark
But never always anything
You could say always nothing
Knowing the latter means no-thing
Perplexing paradox of words
Cant help but try and hint at something
Fingers pointing towards pizza
The prize at the end of a long days work
Each silly quirk in my mind makes itself evident
In oddities of ordinary meaningless mess
I confess there's not much structure, or allure here
But hey
Who wants it or needs it there to be?
