I just spent <a lot> on Kratom...somebody please tell me this stuff will work with suboxone withdrawals. I was on subs for 3 years from 24 mg down to 4 mg then off completely at approximately 4 mg. I am 2 weeks into this and have used Tramadol and even relapsed and used Percocet (I hate myself for that). I went on subs after almost 9 years of opiate addiction (vicodin, percocet, pretty much anything I could get my hands on) I want to feel good again...not high...just normal and I still feel like crap after 2 weeks...I did some (more) research and came across Kratom. Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Will it help? How addictive is it? The last thing I need is another withdrawal.

You're through the worst of it after two weeks really, you'll be starting to feel much better pretty soon anyway. Don't know much about kratom I'm afraid, but just keep doing what you're doing now and you'll be reaping the benefits any day.

Kratom is still an opioid. It's just a mild one. If you use it daily you will withdraw when you stop.

Keep on truckin'. If you are two weeks into opioid withdrawals, you are through the worst bit. Keep active and healthy and you will recover in due time.

Kratom was the only way I could get off subs. A true lifesaver for me at the time. Even after weaning to a very low dose I had horrible wd's. It is not very addictive if you keep your doses low and taper. You should really only need it for about a week if you plan to use it only to get through the sub wd's. I kept using it for several months at low doses for maintenance. I need desperately to get back on it as I have royally fucked up. Used the right way and it can help you greatly. Feel free to pm me with questions. Goodluck!

I'm going through Methadone withdrawal right now. My doctor prescribed it for me three years ago for Lupus pain and now I want to get off of it. The withdrawals have been hell but the Kratom has helped me. I take two capsules before bed and it helps me sleep and gets rid of the restless leg syndrome that was waking me up every 20 minutes. I'm on day four of withdrawal. It SUCKS but I have to get off of this medicine!

Devilleable,

I would go with a good bali (or other red vein variety)... >snip<

Well wishes and good luck! I know exactly how your feeling and tis not fun!

Kratom will turn into an addiction eventually, but from my personal experiences with a plethora of legitimate actual opiates and all kinds of kratom......really, the latter is not nearly as bad. Kratom is like a different feeling altogether from traditional opiates, but it does "fill that hole" that we think we have inside of us (when we are really just avoiding pain).

I'm eating kratom somewhat thesedays and getting off a nasty oxy and h habit. I'll be at 30 days in no time, but I would LOVE to kick the kratom to the fuckin curb too! And just smoke my damn bud! And throw alcohol out of my life while I'm at it!

MJ is the only thing that doesn't numb me, despite what others claim it does for them. If anything I always have to still work through my emotions and negative thoughts whilst smoking the herb. Its just like a bonus to actual life, and something that doesn't drastically alter my perception of the true reality.....in the way that opiates do. I'm not trying to condone use of pot, just rambling a bit......need to get some sleep THIS. FUCKING. INSOMNIA.

anyway, sounds like you're on the path upwards! Its a long fucking ride back up to baseline, after digging holes as deep as we'd have them but oh my does it feel fucking fantastic to be able to FEEL emotions again and have to work em out and just appreciate all the little things we try and ignore and hide from by masking with our DOC's........rant end.
