Just got evicted sitting in sheriffs car wtf help

If the police took her yesterday then where would she be as of right now? Still in their custody I suspect, being held somewhere?
 
She's smart, she'll be fine i bet.
if i remember correctly she'll be 18 real soon so after that she's got nothin to worry about with the po-leese
 
Called the sheriffs office and they said she was in jail, but then called the jail and they said they don't accept incoming calls for jailed people so I asked for a release date and they directed me to records, then they said they don't have anyone by that name so I was like whaaa? Then they said she may not have been processed yet.. So if this happened monday then wouldn't she already be processed by now??
 
So after being redirected a bunch of times and calling several different numbers I finally got to where I think is the right place, but since she's a minor they can't tell me anything much less let me talk to her :p

I read this whole thread thinking it was a troll attempt. Is this for real? I mean how the hell does someone post things on the internet while in the back of a cop car? Somethings just don't add up, and I still can't figure out what people are being arrested for.

Good luck, sounds like a pretty messed up situation. Please remember than in a couple of weeks/months/year all will be back to normal so please don't do anything you or your family would regret before then.

Umm... stayfaded is not a troll. I've never met her IRL but she and I have spoken by phone. She's young and in need of help, hence why she posted in TDS. Evidently, another person who's given a response to this thread knows her IRL and is just as concerned as we all are.

Stayfaded, please stay in touch once you are able to again. Rangrz is correct although the jurisdiction is different. From what I can surmise, Stayfaded was securing the well-being of her kittens. The police should not have construed that as a threat - while I understand that the officer may have thought there was a gun or other threat in the other room, this is no excuse to treat a minor as a criminal. The last I checked, it's not illegal for anyone to ensure the safety of their pets. If a cop busted down my door, I'd certainly do what I could to make sure my own feline sons were safe.

The remarks about Stayfaded's ethnic background were totally out of line. Even here in the US we expect a certain level of decorum from the police. We pay their salaries - and in my very few encounters with them (not related to engaging in any criminal activity) I have not been hesitant to remind them that my tax dollars are paying for their lifestyle. I expect the police to "protect and serve" - not act like jackasses. I expect better from my public servants than to make racially charged remarks against minors. They ought to tell it to a judge and see what (s)he says.

Most importantly, Stayfaded - keep your wits about you, and do the best you can to ensure your safety and the safety of your sister. Please check in when you are able. I don't have your number in my new phone, but you know how to reach me. Much strength to you and lil sis.

But she messaged me on fb yesterday saying she was safe but haven't heard from her since.

Oh sorry then... There's someone else with a similar name who admitted to lying about having to go to jail before, guess I got mixed up. 8( Everything just seemed a little unbelievable.

Anyways not much else to add, but baracading yourself from the police isn't a good idea. Then they will just use more force because they think you're trying to start a stand-off. I can definitely understand being concerned with your pets safety, but it's better to try to stay calm when dealing with the cops. Running away from the situation isn't going to do much good either especially if you're only 2 months away from being 18.

Well they sent her to one place, where she got kicked out, now she's at another shelter with crazy girls, as she says, but she's safe... She said it may be a while til she gets back into contact, so I just hope eventing goes well while she's there <3
 
Omfg I'm hustling fast the old crazy lady left me upstairs alone. But yeah this shelter/group home sucks and I'm forced to stay here by the judge until my birthday. We can't use internet or anything except for school work and she thinks I'm doing that but yeah. I miss everyone and can't wait to be free. My mom is still in jail in 23 hour lockdown but her hearing was today so hopefully she got out but yeah this place is like a prison. I'm surprised she left me alone.... also they force us to go to church or we get restriction. Do something wrong restriction. Fail a drug test 30 days of restriction. I've been sober for over a month now ): Oh well but yeah gotta go. Might be back on but that will be most likely impossible.

(to the nutty whatever dude) and this was no troll attempt I wish it was ):
they just put us in the back seat and I wasn't in major trouble until I ran after they dropped me off at the police station.... my sister and I were listed as runaways and then I got kicked out of the first group home cause I said I was going to light the house on fire if they did not give me back my laptop... now if I get kicked out of here im going to be sent to a lockdown facility in lancaster.

Thank you all for your help though I'll try to keep you updated but it will be hard. I miss you all. I miss my mother and sister as well ): Ugh and my mother can't get us back until I don't know when. DCF has temporary custody of me and my father was allowed to take my sister home. Basically he didn't want me so I really don't give a fuck. I just want to go home well I'm homeless but yeah I just need to get out of here. This place is terrible and makes everyone depressed. So many crazy girls and guys here. I would runaways but it would be stupid to do at this point... also they have pictures of me now so if I runaway or have happy feet as the one stupid bitch who took my photo said. And I'm going to school in spring now so I should be moving to Philadelphia in December now. They wouldn't let me go since I was a minor and they wouldn't let me live in my own apartment. So I had to hold my college plans off because of my county.

Why wouldn't they let you go to college. FUCK this situation. This system is fucked UP. Don't let them say shit to you. Is there anything you can do other than wait till your birthday? Are you gonna miss the first few months of the semester, or are you going the next semester after that? Maybe you should try talking to people at your colege and tell them that you're in a horrible situation and need help. Can the college people help you? Like a social worker or something over in Philly?
