FFS! How could I have been so stupid!? Today, me and two friends organized to get weed off of a guy I've spoke to a couple of times through his friends, so we met up with two guys we hardly knew and handed over £40 and they told us to meet them at that place in 15 minutes and they'd have weed. We waited for an hour and a half before realizing they weren't going to come back. I've tried phoning the original guy and there was no answer.

I feel so stupid! :! :X

Yeah I have done this. Twice.

I always give the benefit of the doubt though. Wishful thinking,

My advice is dont hand over money until you see product. You will hear excuses, like my guy donent like meeting new people, thats BS.

Its not like your trying to buy 15 kilos

OP, it sucks, but it's a learning experience...now you know not to trust people like that again. At least you didn't lose too much money...I've never been ripped off like that, but I've given money and had half of what I paid for given to me through middle-men. Get to know your sources, mine are all good friends actually...and if they're dry, find something else to do for the night.

Don't feel stupid either, I'm sure it's happened in one way or another with pretty much every single person who is a member of this community...it does suck though =(

It's a harsh way to learn what everybody must. Never hand over coin without seeing any product.

More importantly, how the hell you gonna get your 40 notes back?

last time i did that i handed over 100 bucks and waited for a supposed friend of a friend who seemed cool and then he never came back.....that is one of many times ive trusted people who "promised" to help me....
sucks everytime.

That's not always BS.

In my experience, though, more often than not they don't mind the person being brought along-- they just won't make the actual exchange with or in front the newcomer. I always handled that by leaving dude in my car with my keys in the ignition. People seem pretty okay with that.

That's the thing, it's not like I have loads of money to spend. That's why I feel so stupid for doing it.

It makes me feel better to find out it has happened to quite a few on here though, makes me feel a bit less stupid :)

Yeah, dude, don't beat yourself up over it. It's a pretty common thing, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear that you got ripped off, Rio Fantastic. There's no reason, necessarily, to feel stupid because of someone else's bad behavior.

I note you are a newer member to Bluelight. Welcome. Might I suggest our Blogs section for posts like this in the future?

You've gotten some good advice to not hand over money until you get the product. Beyond that, we're not here to tell you how to buy/sell drugs, so I have to close this. Again - welcome and please feel free to ask any questions you may have about Bluelight to a mod or through the Support forum.
