hey. i was just wondering if any of you drink (alcohol) as much as you did before drugs. last summer (before i got into the drug scene... yea, i came in late) i was really drunk at least 3 times a week... and on my non-drunk nights, my friends and i would chill with alcohol. since i started smoking weed (and since i've started rolling, using K and dxm), i haven't been drunk nearly as much. probably only 3 or 4 times in the past year. but i smoke a shitload... drugs are just so much more satisfying than alcohol... like being high on something is a better use of your time. it definitely is for me!

alcohol is just another drug...
i find when i'm coming down from E, trips, whatever that my appreciation of a pint of cold, refreshing Hoegaarden is noticably increased...

Personally I don't like alcohol. I've only used it a handful of times in my life. I was only a fan of it before I tried other drugs.
However, most of my friends drink more than they use other drugs. They also use alcohol when they use other drugs.

The first drug I did was MDMA (otherwise known as 'e').
I got drunk for the first time a few months later.
Soon after that I smoked weed for the first time.
I hate alcohol, I think it is a shitty drug (and yes, it is a drug, as it is consciousness-altering). It has too many goddamn side effects, and in order to get even a buzz off it I have to consume hundreds of calories worth of the crap. I've only been drunk 3 times in my life and I don't plan on ever repeating it. I drink wine/beer on occasion because it tastes good and complements food, but otherwise I find alcohol to be a worthless substance.
Then again, I never did like downers much.

Yikes! Do I detect bitterness?
I drink a lot less. I should probably mention though that I used to manage to drink at least five days a week.
Then, one magical (I say this VERY sarcasticly!) night, I ended up in the hospital. I was violently ill! The Emergency room doctor, and an associate Doctor (Yes, they tag teamed me!) explained that I had Alcohol Poisoning. In my drunken stupor (You realize Stupid is derived from this word!) I try to reason with them.
Unfortunately, my reasoning went something like this: "I can not possibly have alcohol poisoning, I have been drinking for years! I can drink a lot of people bigger than me under the table (which is not hard to do when you are 5 ft 7 in and weigh 115 lbs!)! How can I have Alcohol Poisoning?"
Well....evidently.....one's body can pretty much give up, and stop being able to process alcohol. So, I HAD TO cut waaaaaaay back!
Other than that, I like "E' much better than alcohol.

I think it depends on your relationship with alcohol in the first place. I got drunk for the first time when I was 13, and my use of alcohol has gradually increased ever since. I am now 20 years old, and get shitty at least twice a week during school, usually 6-7 nights a week during the summer. So if you are like me, steady alcohol use eventually becomes something like a cigarette habit. In other words, you keep smoking (and drinking) regardless of what other drugs you choose to use. I was drinking before I ever used drugs, but it was only a year after that I started smoking pot (which I have done on and off ever since). Other than that, I didn't roll or trip or anything like that until I was 18. If anything, I probably drank more when I was rolling just to deal with the depressed feelings between rolls.
But then there are other people who never made drinking a part of their social life (high school is the critical time that this happens, if you are 25 when you first get drunk, you probably aren't going to end up an alcoholic or maybe even a drinker). Thus, they approach it and talk about it in terms of a high or experience. Of course alcohol is drug, but in some respects it is more like cigarettes than other drugs. You don't hear people talking about the "high" you get from smoking cigs or writing trip reports about nicotine. For most regular drinkers, it is just another part of their lifestyle, and a major component of their social interactions (parties, football games, clubs, etc).
So what I am saying is that people like me will continue to drink as they normally did while people looking for an "experience" will quickly find out that MDMA is more worthy of a trip report.

To be completely honest, i get the best buzz with large quantities of alcohol and nitrous. If there are people out there that have tried this they know what im talking about. Anyway, my take on things is people go through phases of loving to drink and not. In the couple month span where i could get any opiates i wanted, i never drank one bit. The opiates disappeared and then came back the alcohol. This topic is completely opinion based so i dont know how far its going.

I find i go through stints with drinking. I'm not really a fan of getting shit faced. Hangovers aren't nice and i generally just don't lik ethe feeling. Alcohol makes me (and most of my mates) act like utter twats. The point i like myself is after a couple of beers/glasses of wine where you are slightly tipsy, just at the giggly point not at the proper pissed point. When i can't afford rugs tho i do occasionally get shit faced.
