Hey so, I have been looking for a place to safely talk about this stuff and I hope I've found it. So I'm just gonna jump in like you know me already.

So the other day I was doing coke with my friend and I'd say it was the 5th or 6th time I've ever done it. After it was gone he left and I got on the computer, idk how long later but I started to hear buzzing. Like a fly in my ear. And all of a sudden I felt a bug on my chest, like just inside the lip of my shirt. So I flip it out and see like a big black bee shriveling almost flipping around cause he was hurt or he stung me. I screamed and got up and my family looked at me, I told them what happened and we looked for the bee. They thought it was crazy because it's November in Wisconsin and all - no bees. Could not find him. And I kept swearing it was real. Later on I thought.. was it the coke?? Was I like taking my lest step back into reality with something scary like that? Is cocaine a hallucinogen? I do <3 it so but I swear it has to be related and that can't happen.

cocaine is not generally considered to be a hallucinogen, but i have heard of people feeling like bugs are crawling on them when they do a lot of it

also, don't do coke.

Cocaine can cause weird shit to happen in the brain. It's not a hallucinogen but like all stimulants and dopaminic drugs it can cause psychosis especially in high doses. After 2 days on IV coke the other month i put a red hot lighter out on my arm i was that fucked up.

Stay away from coke because obviously it does not agree with you. Coke sucks anyway seriously it's a worthless drug that leeds to nothing but povert and despair.

Cocaine can cause a buzzing or humming in your ears as well as giving you the feeling that something's crawling on your skin. If you experienced both of those pretty common side effects, it's possible that your brain produced an illusion based on the sensory information available and past experience.

I would definitely be cautious about future use. It's bad enough being enraptured by a drug which has effects you like, but it's even worse being seduced by one which has effects you don't like.

Cocaine can definitely cause a sensation akin to bugs crawling on your skin, however, it is not considered a hallucinogen. I think it has more to do with the anxiety experienced by cocaine users as they are coming down or withdrawing from the drug. Paranoia is definitely a side effect of using cocaine, especially in large amounts. It's also worth mentioning that cocaine is often cut with another substance no matter how much your dealer swears up and down "it's good shit" :P Depending on what said substance is, it can intensify the paranoia and anxiety you feel.

I would consider staying away from cocaine if I were you. You've only done it a few times so get away from it while you can. Besides, it's such a worthless drug. If you keep using cocaine you will more than likely experience this kind of anxiety again and it just isn't worth the paranoia, the health issues (it can really affect your heart for starters), etc.

Get yourself back on track while it's still early. You have a ton of addicts here telling you not to go down the same path they have [including myself]. Listen to these people because they know exactly what they're talking about and they aren't saying it just to hear themselves talk or waste time. They're telling you this because it's 100% true. Nothing good comes from using cocaine...

Nothing.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Nothing good comes from using cocaine...

Tooo right. Cocaine weather yoou snort it, shoot it or crack it up leeds to nothing but misey, povery, cravings that are at times unbearable, paranoia, psychosis and you will be one of the walking dead. I have seen coke wreck so many lives it is not funny.

Quite while your ahead.

yeah coke can cause your blood to rush through your head fast enough to cause audio disturbances/tinnitus.

being hyperactive and ultra stimulated, hearing that the first time, and being confused; id bet subconsciously you reacted to what seemed to bee the most logical explanation.

that sound can be one of the more alluring or haunting parts of coke, it can also be the last thing you hear.
i know ive heard, and could only hear my heart beat, which sounded like a piece of tin being hammered on rapidly...

*shivers

not a good thing,, take care of yourself, it would of really scared your family it sounds like if you fell over, and started seizing out of no-where.

if you decide to keep using the stuff, and that happens again, heh, try not to panic-step back and breath slowly and intentionally-dont use any more the rest of the night, or for several hours-you arent going to be getting many more positive effects and wasting it and yourself from there.

again, be safe and take care.

Yeah coke can cause tinnitus and god knows that any crack or IV coke user lives for the bell ringer. What a shitty desructive life sucking drug.

i rememeber iv'ing coke then smoking a lil and not being able to fucking breathe and having my heart feel like it was about to break. but still wanting to do more. thats pure fucking insane.

so glad im not living like that today.

+1 to everything posted above.
plus since levamisole (animal wormer) is in most of the coke around these days and causes some funky blood disease there is just no reason to bother doing coke. don't waste your time or money.

It's not a hallucinogen in the typical sense but can cause delusions and psychotic hallucinations if done to the point of exhaustion. All stimulants can. The hallucinations caused by stimulant abuse are usually scarier and more "real" than those associated with psychedelics, though they usually occur only after days of food and sleep deprivation.

Bottom line: if you're worried about your sanity, stop using cocaine and find another drug of choice. Coke is a dead end anyway and is not likely to have a positive overall impact on your life the way some other drugs can when used responsibly.
