it was a long day at work
then alone at the bus stop
awaiting to start the long journey home
trying not to think too much
about what would have been
so you turn on your discman
and the first track that plays
bring your emotions back
it reminded you of the happy times
it brought back the sad memories
of when you have to say goodbye
to the one you love
because at the time
it was the right time to do
at the point where the aria starts
a small smile lights up your face.
because despite the heavy heart
you carry inside everyday
there is life out there to savour
the destination isn't the goal
the objective of life
it's the journey that matters
and you're the navigator
deciding how the road is travelled
because it's you who will determine
how 'magical' the journey will be
the tribulations, the ups and downs
the journey that will shape
the person you'll end up to be
This came into my head while on my way home from work, and Tiesto's "Magik Journey" came on - anyone who had heard it might know what I mean. I apologise first for the long ramble...
