Johnson&Johnson Owes Half a Billion

We have heard about it and I think that they are responsible for a lot of damage, physical and mental. They didn't cause it by themselves but they made ridiculous amounts of money on people's pain. They were very irresponsible and their actions are pretty much predatory.

I dont or fail to see how they can take any responsibility. It’s nice to see someone with an opposite opinion. I see where your coming from with the predator behavior but are they really that bad for giving people something for pain when they really need it? Say like a broken arm they provide the pain medication so the person can be in comfort for there stay at the hospital. What happens with the prescription and patient after they leave is beyond there control and frankly not there responsibility in my point of view.

Yes Johnson and Johnson should be somewhat liable in the case of providing support/ rehab etc for those addicted for legitimate pain control reasons but the recreational users can honestly go fuck themselves, ultimately no one made you stick those pills down your throat or that needle in your arm, that was the users choice and they (the user) should be accountable for there own stupid actions

yup.

their stock rose more than five percent in after hours on this news, raising their market cap by about $15 billion. looks like it fell about the same amount day prior to the ruling, but i think that was the day the dow fell over 600 points.
