If you have never heard Joe Rogan discuss the nature of reality you are in for a real treat here. If you have heard him talk about philosophy and reality then you already know how intelligent the UFC color commentator is.

Some people may hear the things Rogan talks about and it means absolutely nothing, they can’t relate, it doesn’t compute, your energy doesn’t connect with his, and that is fine. But there are others who have had certain experiences who know Mr. Rogan is just not talking out his ass.

Not the world's biggest douchebag. That is right here.
Or, arguably, right here.

Actually, that distinction belongs to John Edward

Sure, within the hardcore psychedelic community, Joe Rogan will come off as naive. I think for the greater good, though, he and his podcast are positive influences on society, and that he is a voice for progress. His intentions are noble.

The podcast when he had Graham Hancock on was a really good listen. Aside from all of the old-time conspiracy theories that are entertaining, he makes one of the best comprehensive arguments for legalisation that I've ever heard.

Are you serious? People should be getting their information about psychedelics from the people who study them for a living, not from hack comedians. At best he's bringing the wrong kind of attention to a material that has (somehow, miraculously) managed to stay mostly off-the-radar for the last 40+ years.

I don't think people should get their info from people like joe rogan. Ive personally never watched his stuff but as others have suggested information about something like this should come from people who actually study this stuff. Maybe I'm mistaken but I doubt he spends time reading about it and spends more time watching 2 men hug eachother to death (UFC)

Like I said I don't know what I'm talking about I just have a lot of respect for dmt and I wish it didn't get put in the public eye. It's a strong psychedelic and it should be something that people who desire the experience should stumble upon in their research, not be prompted by a comedian to find.

Just my 2 cents

Joe rogan became irrelevant to me once i learned the whole "your pineal gland produces dmt/dmt causes your dreams" is utter bullshit with no evidence to back it up. He rambled on about it like he knew his shit and it was factual.

I blame him in part for perpetuating that BS meme, as lots of people first learn about dmt from joe rogan podcasts/etc.

Like what was previously said, the people preaching about psychs should at least know their shit and be factual. Joe rogan failed miserably at doing that imho.

to anyone that is accusing him of being an unreliable source.. where the hell do you get information about the effects profiles of psychedelics? last time i checked, the US doesnt exactly promote studies of controlled studies. it does exactly the opposite.

^still the thing he says about dmt being produced in your sleep and during death, as well as the whole pineal gland is just speculation and he states it as fact. Maybe he knows better and wasn't really thinking that day, i don't know but i hate hearing that same bullshit from people who ask me about DMT.

At the time though it was the leading hypothesis about how/why your body produces DMT. Truly he should have included that fact that scientists were not entirely certain but that the current research at the time highly supported the claim.

I dislike Joe Rogan, but at least he's trying to get people to think, but I'll never understand why a guy with such a philosophic viewpoint of everything would be a part of UFC. :?

yeah its true, he was probably just repeating that in hopes of embellishing his viewpoint. but i know for a fact he has his own sensory deprivation tank. anyone that smokes dmt and chills in a sensory deprivation tank has a fundamentally extensive view of the human psyche that myself and ninety percent of the population does not and will not ever possess.
