Hopefully this will not get moved as it is not really a drug test question but it does have to do with it. I am currently employed making about 30,000 a year. I am a daily herb smoker and have been for about 8 years now. Business is slow where I am now and they have made layoffs and I am worried about more in the future or the place closing down completely.

I applied for a new job making 40,000 to 45,000 a year and got an interview, went on it and now have a second interview. I think if I play it right i may get offered the job. The prob is they do a pre employment drug test and I had to sign something that said I can be tested anytime. I stopped smoking as soon as I knew about the testing after my first interview (last mon 1 week ago). I am not sure when i will get tested if I even get the job offer.

My biggest question is do you think they will drug test randomly or frequently after the pre employment drug test??? There is absolutely no testing where I am now. I don't really wanna give up smoking forever. What is everyone's experience with places that drug test. Do they do it often? I think I can get past the 1st one as Ive already quit a week, my 2nd interview is Wednesday, and I can put off my first day on the job since i have to put in a notice where i am now.

Basically I am just looking for some helpful advice as there is usually a lot on this board. I am torn even if they offer the job I dont know if I want it. Both jobs arent really fun and the new one would be a longer drive but that doesnt really bother me.

It will almost definitely be only a pre-employment drug test, unless it is a job in dangerous conditions such as working in a steel mill or something, where they might test you annually.
 
every place that i have worked for that i had to sign something like that i was tested on hire and never after that...
only times they would have tested is if i was promoted they do a test first...and thats the same at evey job i have had
and if someone got hurt than they would get tested if they told management and had to go to dr....i think they only did this cuz if they had anything in them than they would not get the hospital bills paid for other than that i never have been tested

one thing you could do is find some people that look cool and find out by asking them if you can do it with out risking anything

Cool! I was thinking about the whizzanator cause its seem fool proof. How much are those things? Anyone know what the generics are called? Im gonna have to do some searching. Hopefully I get the job anyway cause mine right now SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
one more question. Sorry to be a pain in the ass. In peoples experience when you had to take the test is there someone watching you or close by? I saw synthetic urine for cheap and thought that may be the way to go but if I just pour it in there it wont sound like someone pissing. Damn drug tests are fuckin stupid!!!
