Got a job interview tomorrow. Its not an intense sort of interview. Its actually an 'assessment centre', that will involve a group descussion, followed by individual interviews with the big bosses.
I've been to such assessment centres before, and I've always found the group activity pretty straightforwards. You just wait for the first few over enthusiastic loud mouths to blurt out their ill-thought out flawed ideas, and then compassionately pick them apart offering the more pragmatic/realistic option.
But then comes the individual interview with one or two of the senior management, along with normally somebody from HR. This is where I usually struggle. Mainly on account of nerves (which are completely unwarranted as I'm perfectly suitable/qualified/experienced for the role). But they never fail to present themselves. I'll stutter, fluff my answers, blabber on about nothing and come across as shy. None of these personal traits are part of my everyday persona. Its just one on one interviews. I always get such anxiety verging on panic attacks.
So my question is, should I plump for xanax or diazepam? I'm more experienced with diaz. But I've taken 20mg tonight before I'm about to get some sleep (as I always feel much more relaxed the morning after doing this). So just concerned 10mg diazepam will be enough tomorrow? I'm not going to bother with anything for first group activity part. But I'm going to drop something in the 30 min break we get before the individual interviews. So what would you recommend for such an interview? With the desired outcome of just being able to be myself and talk about myself/tell the truth without coming out like a blubbering nervous imbecile? Thanks for any replies.
(also, no need for any harm-reduction replies. I rarely use benzo's these days. I save them for purely functional useage. As in this case.)
