Jaw deterioration?

New, so forgive me if not in correct forum or write correctly. Been wondering about this for a minute & have spent countless hours searching for it & haven't had any luck so figured I would ask.

My DOC is meth & current ROA is smoking it. I've used almost every day since 10/27 (4 & 1/2 months)

I originally used snorting as my ROA but noticed my nose felt "caved" in (basically seemed like it disappeared). For the most part i only used my left nostril for the better part of this misadventure. My reasoning was bc I already have a hole in my right sinus cavity.

I've noticed w smoking it, it seems like right above my top back molars the skin/roof of my mouth seems very soft & where the upper/lower jaw connect seems soft too. It's almost smooshy & my roof seems shorter (i dont have to push my tonguebas far back to reach the end) I've also noticed now I can't effectively get a loogie anymore, which I know has something to w hole in sinus cavity and whatever damage I did lol.

The reason for me creating this in the 1st place..in 2014 (3yrs) I had upper jaw surgery & all 4 wisdom teeth removed. My upper jaw had 2 incisions made, right before my canines, making my jaw into 3 sections. Front teeth stayed at same place but the other 2 sections were brought down to make them even. Roots to both canines were cut off during surgery. I could only get one dental implant bc the other side lacked bone from smoking cigarettes. I have fake tooth on one side & none on the other. I've always been able to feel where there is no bone in my jaw since surgery. It's fucking weird lol. The hole in my sinus cavity was bc "my sinus cavities didn't heal properly after surgery" says my surgeon.

So I guess what i would like to know is the mouth thing normal or could it have something to do w my jaw surgery? I'm halfway paranoid it's literally making my bone disappear. Any advice or input is appreciated :) peace&love?

Meth use doesn't improve oral hygeine, that's for damn sure. If you are also a tobacco user then you probably are doing some amount of damage to your body... exactly how much I can't say.

ask your dentist at your next cleaning

if you haven't been in a while, make an appointment for next week. your teeth are only going to get worse without regular check-ups
