Recent example is Sussmann found not guilty even though he was obviously guilty
if his guilt was obvious, why do you think the prosecution was unable to prove it?

A staffer for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign instructed Republicans planning to cast electoral college votes for Trump in Georgia despite Joe Biden’s victory to operate in “complete secrecy,” an email obtained by The Washington Post shows.
“I must ask for your complete discretion in this process,” wrote Robert Sinners, the campaign’s election operations director for Georgia, the day before the 16 Republicans gathered at the Georgia Capitol to sign certificates declaring themselves duly elected. “Your duties are imperative to ensure the end result — a win in Georgia for President Trump — but will be hampered unless we have complete secrecy and discretion.”
The Dec. 13, 2020, email went on to instruct the electors to tell security guards at the building that they had an appointment with one of two state senators. “Please, at no point should you mention anything to do with Presidential Electors or speak to the media,” Sinners continued in bold.

You're right. I'm into seeing Trump and his establishment cronies being served with justice. Probably too little too late but we can always hope. This is like the proverbial running out of bullets and throwing the gun. Only people super into establishment politics care about this, and even that’s pushing it. The bee put it well, made me chuckle a bit

bringing healing and unification to our nation ?
If they have the evidence, bring it before Congress in open session. Stop the dog and pony show and all the posturing. Allow full discussion from both sides of the argument.i don't like to assume so what does that look like in practice?
where do we draw the line? should we just overlook egregious attempts to subvert the will of the u.s. people - for example the fake elector scheme - in the interests of healing?
thanks.

You're putting the cart before the horse. This commission is not a trial and therefore it has no reason to have discussion from dissenting opinions. They are merely presenting evidence that will lead to a referral to the DOJ, which is when the actual trial will begin. If they have the evidence, bring it before Congress in open session. Stop the dog and pony show and all the posturing. Allow full discussion from both sides of the argument.
If there is enough evidence for Congress to agree then move toward correcting the conduct of those involved in any accordance of the law that applies.
Move on ...
Is that clear enough?
Sorry, I feel that this "hearing" is just a very sad piece of political posturing. You're putting the cart before the horse. Also, regarding the "peaceful protest" have you even troubled yourself to watch any of the videos of the capitol breach from that day? There was nothing peaceful about it, man. Those animals were angry and assaulting cops left and right. So much for Blue Lives Matter. "Only a protestor was injured?" Really? Did you also not hear about officer Brain Sicknick, who had his head smashed in with a fire extinguisher and died from his injuries? Not mention the additional 4 officers who committed suicide in the weeks and months following the insurrection. Why do you think they felt the need to end their own lives? Maybe they felt betrayed by their political party?
Honestly, most of your talk sounds exactly like what some of my family members say who have NOT watched any of the videos of the unsuccessful coup. They get all their news from Fox, Newsmax, etc. Right wing entertainment propaganda made to look like the news. Drink the Cool-Aid much?
Sorry, I feel that this "hearing" is just a very sad piece of political posturing.
This exact thing was addressed during the second hearing.Forgive me if this has been covered here (I didn't read every post) but I thought I was the only one who remembered Trump publicly predicting voter fraud long before the election. I haven't heard that even mentioned in the news.

Trump predicts 'most corrupt election' in US history while making false claims about mail-in voting | CNN Politics
President Donald Trump is predicting that the November election will be "the most corrupt election in the history of our country," while spreading false claims and inaccurate statements about widespread voter fraud.www.cnn.com
I recall hearing him say that and immediately red flags went up--- he's gonna claim he won no matter what is exactly what I thought.
Curious: Why is this not significant? I haven't heard it talked about at all anywhere.
Yes, I'm catching up on that now. This exact thing was addressed during the second hearing.
For sure. Trump is, and always has been, a conman. Frankly, he's a pretty good one.for profit....
