Heroin iv'ing speedballs-no effect...vain pretty shot out

the question is, i'm registering before pushing plunger in, and getting register, but usually darker colored blood-slow to register...i can feel it pop into vein to-but not really getting the rush

now the vein is pretty shot i think-is it possible that its so shot its not transporting the drug effectively anymore? used to be that bright red, bullet of blood register, and now its just dark and slow....not sure whats up!!??
