I've lost the words

I woke up this morning
and I knew.
I knew that I'd lost words,
words I needed,
I'd lost the words that defined
the person I was.
I am afraid to speak,
I am afraid
I may lose the words
I have left.
Once uttered, they shall
be no more.
And they shan't be mine.

I hate that feeling; when you wake up one day and barely even know yourself anymore.
