im waking up from a very groggy xanny hangover but still have 30+bars left so its all good :D
i know this is a stupid/pointless thing to do but what i did was crush up a 1mg football and since xanax is only alcohol sulluble i used the alc from moise towelettes and disolved it in water. was that beneficial in any way lol

Isopropanol within swabs are not meant to be used for injection. There are impurities in regular isopropanol. If it's 100% isopropanol which has been purified, whatever - maybe it's not that bad for your veins. But IME; you didn't get a lot of it absorbed. You can only get 0.04mg/mL in a 7pH solution (water) [cite]; whatever isopropanol you added, probably didn't contribute too much solubility potentail; therefore a lot of the alprazolam was not dissolved.

I'd stay to eating alprazolam IMO.

I am not trying to get on your case but I wouldn't consider it a safe practice to shoot alprazolam without micron filtering; there are tons of inactive ingredients in those tablets.

Why IV Xanax, anyway? It's oral BA is high (~90%). Just take the pill sublingually (under your tongue) or swallow it like a normal pill (or crush, whatever).

Agreed with answers posted so far. It's very difficult to do safely and for minimal gain.

Very good point. I will say though, that tablet inactive ingredients can be exceedingly bitter. I don't think alprazolam by itself is though? I am not sure. If it is IV'd, it's not going to yield midazolam-type rush/reward. It may have some form of an instant onset but only if you can feel a very small dosage; it's not very water soluble at all.

This makes most benzodiazepines pretty much not worthy for IV usage overall. It is still implemented in hospitals/clinical setting however, especially when needed the most (panic, seizures, etc).

This would be true (unless one of you lucky fuckers out there has pure alprazolam powder), as I'm not sure if simply using 0.2um micron filters on alprazolam tablets would be that effective at removing the dye for one, and two - possibly other inactive ingredients which may or may not be undesirable for injection purposes.

Just take it sublingually, not worth it in my book to IV any benzo that is in pill form. Its a waste of time and is bad on your veins, for very little maybe even no gain.
