Opioids IV sedation for Wisdom teeth...Freaking out..

I had a series of procedures over the course of a year and a half including 4 implants, multiple crowns and a bridge. This was about 5 yrs ago. I told my dentist [who had dental anesthesia license] I wanted iv sleep each time. The problem was... I neglected to tell him I was on MMT. Anyway... the first time I went into violent WD's because he used Nubain. From then on he used a combination of iv valium and demerol which worked great. I suspect he used relatively high doses of both.

When I had all my wisdom teeth taken out a few years ago, I was 19. I was thinking I would get laughing gas.

But, when the anesthesiologist came in, she opened a glass IV bottle that said "KETAMINE HCL". I was like, oh yeaaa. Unfortunately, before I could notice how it felt I was waking up feeling super cloudy and seeing the ceiling tiles drag and move like conveyor belts. This only lasted 10 seconds. Wish I would have remembered it. I guess it is rare to receive Ketamine so I consider myself lucky.

You really are lucky...ive never even seen ketamine.
