Opioids IV questions

Does anyone know any way to get naloxone btw in Sydney?

Pretty much what it says in the title, also, how likely is it to get a bacterial infection after subcutaneous injection? And if I wanted to go overseas and take a tiny stash (20mg to make the plane trip less boring) could I dissolve the powder in water and put it in an insulin vial? It's completely airtight, so I don't see how any dog could smell it (the vial will be very well washed on the outside). also I'm allowed to carry them cause someone who's goin with me is diabetic (type 1 mind you). The two questions are not connected, I would never waste morphine on subcutaneous injection!!!

Bump

I don't want to start a new thread because these quesions can be answered easily and quickly so I'm just gonna bump it.

and don't iv promethazine/Phenergan. it's a vesicant. never given iv push which is why zofran is used now. if you miss, you risk losing a limb. even if you get it in the vein, the vein is going to sclerose. if you must, dilute it A LOT! i made this mistake once, hit the vein, and it crinckled up like a chinese lantern.

if you can get normal saline or lactated ringers in a big ass syringe... you know what, just don't do it... gangrene risk is not work potentiating... either give it IM or take it by mouth
